New Explanations by Mr. Adnan Oktar (29 March 2014)
Explanations of various verses from Surah Yunus and Surat An-Nisa by Mr. Adnan Oktar
Surah Yunus; Verse 82
God confirms the Truth by His words, even though the evildoers hate it.
“… even though the evildoers hate it.” Look, the man has committed a crime and is a sinner but he doesn’t want it. What does he not want? He doesn’t want the Truth. “God confirms the Truth by His words…” So He will make Islam prevail in the world, He will make Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) appear and the Prophet Jesus Messiah descend. “God confirms the Truth by His words, even though the evildoers hate it.” God confirms all that He deems right and beautiful by His words. God confirms the Truth by His words right now and this is happening, even though the evildoers hate it.
Surah Yunus; Verse 83
No one had faith in Moses except for a few of his people out of fear that Pharaoh, and the elders, would persecute them. Pharaoh was high and mighty in the land. He was one of the profligate.
“No one had faith in Moses except for a few of his people out of fear that Pharaoh and the elders would persecute them.” No one had faith because of the rampant persecution of the state of those times. Only a few young people believed in him. That is because “Pharaoh was high and mighty in the land.” He was an egocentric tyrant and “He was one of the profligate.” One needs to take refuge in God from being one of the profligate; one needs to take refuge in God from being high and mighty. Once a person acts high and mighty and becomes one of the profligate, God would destroy him. We should not forget about that. Look, there are a handful of young people. People feel afraid, in a state of panic against the rampant system of the Pharaoh. But a handful of young people do not feel afraid, Masha’Allah.
Surah Yunus; Verse 84
Moses said; “My people! If you have faith in God, then put your trust in Him, if you are Muslims.”
Moses says, “My people! If you are Muslims…” See that there were Muslims in all times. People say those people were Jews, etc. Actually the name of those people who followed Moses was also “Muslim”. Jewish people were Muslims at that time as well. They are Jewish Muslims. “La Ilaha Illa Allah, Moses Rasulullah.” That was the confession of faith at those times. Later on people said “La Ilaha Illa Allah, Jesus Resulullah.” And now we say “La Ilaha Illa Allah, Mohammed Rasulullah.” All of them are true. “… then put your trust in Him.” Putting trust in God is the greatest luxury in this world. The man says, “I want to live a luxurious life in glory, I want to be rich.” Well my brother, you cannot find comfort in that, you cannot be happy, you would grovel in that huge palace. May God forbid, the man then hangs himself on a chandelier in that palace and commits suicide, may God forbid. Once you put your trust in God all sufferings would be lifted. God created that as a blessing. People say; “God asks us to put our trust in Him, God asks us this and that…” God wants all that for your happiness. You feel happy when you perform your prayers, you feel happy when you perform your ablution, you feel happy when you put your trust in God, you feel happy when you mention the Name of God, when you read the Qur’an. Your mind opens up; that is because you are a weak being. God created you in a way that you need this. If you do not live by those beauties you would feel suffocated. These are blessings that prevent you to feel suffocated in the water; those are life-saving blessings. All the commands in the Qur’an are life-savers or else people would be suffocated; life would suffocate them, people are already living in that water. People survive without being suffocated in that because of those beauties. Without them, people would be suffocated. Without those blessings people would die. They would sink in that water. Humanity is in a state like that of the people of the Prophet Noah.
Surah Yunus, Verse 85
They said, “We have put our trust in God. Our Lord, Do not make us a target for this wrongdoing people…”
So Muslims say, “Do not test us with those persecutors.” If God wishes so, He can test us with them but Muslims say, “Our Lord ,do not test us like that “
Surah Yunus, Verse 86
"… and rescue us, by Your mercy, from this unbelieving people!”
The abjad calculation of that verse is 2018. That means Muslims will, insha’Allah, be saved from this pain, from this suffering by 2018 [or thereabouts].Without the doubles the calculation is 2018, with the doubles it is 2021, those are all very important dates. The Qur’an gave very clear dates, insha’Allah, God gave such beautiful signs, masha’Allah.
Surah Yunus, Verse 87
We revealed to Moses and his brother: ´Settle your people in houses in Egypt and make your houses places of worship and establish salat (prayers) and give good news to the Muslims.´
We revealed to Moses and his brother; “Settle your people in houses…” So what should Muslims do? They should have houses to preach religion and make their homes places of worship and establish prayers. Make them places of light in which people worship God and perform prayers. “… and establish salat (prayers) and give good news to the Muslims.” Establishing salat means performing prayers as is due, meaning performing prayers in sincerity. Actually salat (prayers) is a very easy religious observation; some radicals make up so many details saying “You should keep your finger like this, your leg like that,” that people say, “Let me not perform prayers then!” They invent hundreds of details. They need to perform their ablutions but those radicals create books of 370 pages and because people cannot straighten up that information in those 370 pages, they give up performing their prayers. That is a devilish trick, a trick of the satan when actually religion is as easy as it actually is. Almighty God says; “He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the religion -the religion of your forefather Abraham.” He says; “God desires ease for you; He does not desire difficulty for you.” How could it be easy if you make up details filling books of 370 pages? One might assume that they do all this because of their piety but they have invented details and get suffocated in those details. Being sucked into details is a dissension, a disaster defined in the Qur’an.
Surah Yunus, Verse 88
Moses said, ´Our Lord, You have given Pharaoh and his ruling circle finery and wealth in the life of this world, Our Lord, so that they may be misguided from Your Way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they do not have faith until they see the painful punishment.´
Moses said; “Our Lord, You have given Pharaoh and his ruling circle finery and wealth in the life of this world…” That means Moses says, “You have given wealth and means to the system of the dajjal (antichrist) “ Our Lord, so that they may be misguided from Your Way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth…” Look how furious he gets.. “… and harden their hearts…” Those are two important points. He asks Almighty God to obliterate their wealth and to harden their hearts, to cover their minds over so that they would lose their wisdom. “…so that they do not have faith until they see the painful punishment.” They come to believe eventually, but their tests would be finalized when they finally do so. That is why religious services should not be presented as if they are difficult and thus give way to the satan. Millions of people distance themselves from religion because ablution and salat are presented as if they are difficult; they have made millions of people abandon religion in this way and they have ruined them all.
Surat An-Nisa; Verse 4
Give women their dowry as an outright gift. But if they are happy to give you some of it, make use of it with pleasure and goodwill.
For instance see that God says; “Give women their dowry as an outright gift.” Meaning give them lovingly with joy; one gives his spouse money, buys her a house making her happy and pleasing her and distribute what you have. “But if they are happy to give you some of it, make use of it with pleasure and goodwill.” God says use it with contentment. Almighty God wants a mutual generosity, a mutual spirit of bravery, a mutual beauty. So one distributes all he has to those who are in need, to the children: Almighty God tells people to help one another. That is because God is the one who gives those possessions. If people try and keep it all for themselves, the body would be gangrenous, the whole structure becomes gangrenous. Social structure, life becomes gangrenous, an economic crisis starts and people thus fall into suffering.
Surat An-Nisa, Verse 8
If other relatives or orphans or poor people attend the sharing-out, provide for them out of it and speak to them correctly and courteously
“If other relatives or orphans or poor people attend the sharing-out, provide for them out of it…” says God. “.. and speak to them correctly and courteously.” To whom? To orphans and poor people. For instance there are some incredibly wealthy people and they have heirs; they all take their shares down to the last penny. See what Almighty God says: “If other relatives or orphans or poor people attend the sharing out provide them out of it.” What does this mean? Keep such people in attendance and distribute those goods abundantly so that they will all be provided for. Instead of keeping everything for yourself, give them to all those in need so that they also benefit from that abundance. “… and speak to them correctly and courteously.” Look, this is how we understand the environment of happiness that we will experience when the Qur’an prevails. “… correctly and courteously.” That is because they will not be satisfied with money or goods but with correct and courteous words. It wouldn’t be acceptable if you throw those beautiful things into their faces. You should pay them compliments, you should be appeasing, you should love them so that you would be happy when you see them happy. When they feel happy because of the blessings you share with them, you would be happy as well. God would take away the troubles and problems from you. Abundance and plenty would come upon your possessions and your lives. One might think that he would have more if he cuts back; actually it turns back onto him as trouble and nothing good would come out of that, insha’Allah.
Surat An-Nisa; Verse 9
People should show concern in the same way that they would fear for small children if they were to die leaving them behind. They should have awe of God and say words that are appropriate.
So God tells us not to cheat them and to help them. Help whom? Look; “...small children.” Children who have no protection, handicapped children, Muslims should care for them. Muslims should try and help them having blessings and beauties.
Surat An-Nisa; Verse 10
People who consume the property of orphans wrongfully consume nothing in their bellies except fire. They will roast in a Searing Blaze.
The Qur’an shows us how to protect the orphans and the children. We need to call them to goodness and abundance by always engaging them in the path of God, on the way of Islam. We need to protect them from their ruin, we need to protect them from unbelief if they are about to fall in unbelief. It is not enough only to feed them and give them their sustenance, they need to be taught about the Qur’an, about Islam, about the fear of God and love for God or else orphans would be ruined, they cannot be saved with food. They can only be saved with faith and the Qur’an.
