EXPLANATIONS OF VERSES BY MR. ADNAN OKTAR
Surat al-‘Imran verse 104
Let there be a community among you who call to the good, and enjoin the right, and forbid the wrong. They are the ones who have success.
Look, “They are the ones who have success,” says Allah. Those who preach, and who describe and disseminate Islam. It is not hard to understand. It is quite clear.
Surat al-‘Ankabut verse 68
Who could do greater wrong than someone who invents lies against Allah or denies the truth when it comes to him? Is there not shelter in Hell for the unbelievers?
“Someone who invents lies against Allah” What does this mean? They invent hadiths and allege that the Prophet (saas) said them. They tell lies in the name of Allah; that is a sin. Almighty Allah says in the Qur’an, “...or denies the truth when it comes to him?” I describe the commands of the Qur’an, and they say that is a lie. “There is no such thing,” they say. I say this is what Allah says. I say that Allah says the Qur’an is sufficient; “Not at all,” they say. They regard that as a lie, as well. “Who could do greater wrong?” asks Allah. He means these are the kind of people who will go to the bottom layer of hell. The unbelievers, the fundamentalists and extremists. “Is there not shelter in Hell for the unbelievers?” Allah regards this as denial. These people are denying and changing Allah’s commandments.
Surah Maryam verse 12
‘Yahya, take hold of the Book with vigor.’ We gave him judgment while still a child,
“Yahya, take hold of the Book with vigor.” Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will hold tightly on to the Qur’an in the End Times. He will clutch it to him. “We gave him judgment while still a child,” This means that the Mahdi (pbuh) will be highly virtuous, even as a child. He will be compassionate and loving.
Surah Maryam verse 13
...and tenderness and purity from Us – he had piety –
tenderness and purity…” This means the Mahdi (pbuh) will be very open to love. He will delight in both loving and in being loved. There is a sign of this in the verse. “...and purity” The Mahdi (pbuh) will be scrupulously clean. The verse indicates that. “...he had piety.” This means the Mahdi (pbuh) will be scrupulous in terms of the religion. Scrupulous in abiding by the Qur’an, not bigotry.
Surat al-Anfal verse 73
Those who are unbelievers are the friends and protectors of one another. If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.
“Those who are unbelievers are the friends and protectors of one another.” Bad people watch out for one another. “If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.”
What do the extremists do? They fall out with Muslims at the slightest excuse. They dislike someone because he is an Alawite or because he is a Bektashi or a Shiite, or a Wahhabi. Or they say, “She does not cover her hair.” You would think that not covering one’s hair was a sign of non-belief! But what the verse says is this. Look, “If you do not act in this way [if you are not one another’s friends] there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.” It is full of turmoil and corruption now. This stems from the attitude of the extremists. They have come within the scope of the verse. I look at TV programs, for instance; they use such aggressive language toward one another. People who like one another are very rare. But when we look at deniers, they really do watch out for one another but Muslims are not so considerate of one another and the result is turmoil and corruption.2013-04-14 09:22:16
