EXPLANATIONS OF VERSES BY MR. ADNAN OKTAR
Surat al-Fil verses 1-5
Do you not see what your Lord did with the Companions of the Elephant?
Did He not bring all their schemes to nothing,
unleashing upon them flock after flock of birds,
bombarding them with stones of hard-baked clay,
making them like stripped wheat-stalks eaten bare?
Allah neutralizes the elephants. With what? With a great many birds. If Muslims come together in great numbers they can also neutralize powers as strong as elephants. Tens of thousands of birds fought hundreds of elephants; the birds were small but highly effective. They throw little stones. They are weak, but very strong when united. The Qur’an is referring to that. You can have great strength if you are united, insha’Allah. Look, “Did He not bring all their schemes to nothing?” says Almighty Allah. This means that unbelievers will make plans, but Allah will thwart them. Insha’Allah.
Surat al-Kawthar 1-3
Truly We have given you the Great Abundance.
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.
It is the one who hates you who is cut off without an heir.
Truly We have given you the Great Abundance.
Abjad calulation gives a date of 1453. The date of the capture of Constantinople and also of global sovereignty. Hijri gives the date of global sovereignty, and the Gregorian calendar gives the capture of Constantinople. “...So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.” So Almighty Allah has made prayer and sacrifice holy. Some people are against sacrificing animals. “It is the one who hates you who is cut off without an heir.”
With the Mahdi (pbuh), we will see the victory of the line of our Prophet (saas) over the haters, insha’Allah .
Surat al-Masad verses 1-5
Ruin to the hands of Abu Lahab and ruin to him!
His wealth has not helped him nor anything he has earned.
He will burn in a Flaming Fire.
And so will his wife, the firewood-carrier,
with a rope of twisted fiber round her neck.
Because they marry men who are like lumps of wood, then they carry them on their backs in the hereafter. They will burn with the fire from them. The Qur’an is showing how wrong it is to marry such filthy types. “You will be firewood for one another” is what the verse means. Attach no importance to goods or earnings, Almighty Allah is saying. They are of no benefit, says Allah. “Ruin to the hands,” says Almighty Allah; everything they have dries up. They trust their hands, but their hands dry up. They trust their feet, but their feet dry up. “...with a rope of twisted fiber round her neck.”
This shows the afflictions they will suffer in the hereafter.
Surat al’Asr verses 1-3
By the Late Afternoon,
truly man is in loss –
except for those who have faith and do right actions and urge each other to the truth and urge each other to steadfastness.
“By the Late Afternoon, truly man is in loss …”
All mankind is in loss, Allah says. “...except for those who have faith.” Who believe “...and do right actions,” they have to have both. They have to have faith and do right actions “...and urge each other to steadfastness.” In other words, they have to encourage one another to believe in the Qur’an, Islam, the system of the Mahdi, the return of Jesus the Messiah, to favor peace and beauty and to oppose war, to do all the right things and “...urge each other to steadfastness.” They must not ask, “Why is there still no Islamic Unity, why are we still suffering?” They must not ask, “Why are there all these problems?” They must be steadfast because paradise and Allah’s mercy comes after steadfastness. If you are not steadfast, you have lost. If you say you cannot encourage the truth, you have lost. Allah promises they will lose out. The whole world is in loss. They are suffering economic crises and troubles and they can find no ease because they do not have faith. If they did, they would be honest. And they are not steadfast. They do not urge one another to be steadfast. So you lose, says Allah. These commandments are clear and easy, but if you spurn them, sorrows will rain down.
Surat al-Humaza verses 2-3
...who has amassed wealth and hoarded it!
He thinks his wealth will make him live for ever.
“...who has amassed wealth and hoarded it!”
Allah is also opposed to capitalism. The Qur’an is opposed to capitalist thinking. I have never seen such a concise criticism of this modern kind of savage capitalism. “He thinks his wealth will make him live for ever.”
Allah describes their mentalities. They have this amazing sense of self-importance, as if they will never die; they all behave as if they will never die.2013-04-14 09:24:21
