Highlights from Mr. Adnan Oktar's interview on 19 March 2012

(The announcement of the new book, “Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Unity of Islam”

This is our new book. First of all, all our brothers must have a copy of this. This would give tremendous trouble to those who claim that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is a collective personality.

(Mr. Adnan Oktar comments on the Surat al-Waqia)

There will circulate among them, ageless youths, (Surat al-Waqi’a, 17)

It is a great blessing for a person to attain immortality. The one thing that comes to minds of people day and night is death but they try not to make others feel it. For instance, they talk about football matches in order to lessen the effect of it. Or the purpose of chatting about insignificant things is again to get away from the fear of death. The purpose of vain talk and yelling in discos is the wish to forget death. For this reason, living for all eternity is one of the greatest blessings granted to believers. Having a beginning but no end. For this reason, it is a great reason of joy and a blessing for a Muslim to know that there will be young people in paradise who are destined to be always young and that he will be one of them.

It does not give them any headache nor does it leave them stupefied. (Surat al-Waqi’a, 20)

Allah draws attention to the effects of alcohol on people. Allah creates pain. Alcohol turns into a scourge because people drink it although it is prohibited. When people drink alcohol, they lose their consciousness and their minds. Allah reminds us that such trouble will not happen in paradise. Allah says that we will drink wine but the wine of paradise will neither discomfort us nor give any harm like alcohol does...

any fruit they specify (Surat al-Waqi’a, 20)

They generally look like the fruits in this world but they will be with perfect smell and excellent taste, because when they look, they say: “We saw similar ones in the world.”

And any bird meat they desire. (Surat al-Waqia, 21)

When one makes a gesture with his hand, the birds of paradise immediately come nearby, or they appear fried on a plate. When you eat them, the bones remain on the plate but after the supper is over, the bones come together to form a bird again, and it flies away. This is the attribute of paradise, insha’Allah.

And dark eyed maidens, (Surat al-Waqia, 22)

That is to say, maidens with beautiful and pretty looks. The most impressive attribute of a woman is her beautful, meaningful eyes full of passion. This superior quality in devout women does not appear in disbelievers. That is why they suffer a lot of trouble. Your looks which are full of passion, the love you have for me.A disbelieving man looks at his own wife- she looks like a cow to him and the woman, in return, looks at him like a swine. He is impure and unwise like a swine. One sees the difference between faith and disbelief and he feels its pain because he experiences it in real life.

Like hidden pearls; (Surat al-Waqi’a, 23)

Like hidden pearls.A pearl is something slippery, bright, sparkling, pure and lucid. In order to make us understand it, Allah stresses the brightness, whiteness, lucidity and radiance of a woman's complexion in the hereafter with such words.

As recompense for what they did (Surat al-Waqia, 24)

As a recompense to their piety and moral perfection, Allah grants it to them.

They will hear no prattling in it nor any word of wrong. (Surat al-Waqia, 25)

What most disturbs people in this world is vain talk and disbelief. For instance brawling is not uncommon in many  houses. Fathers yell at their daughters, that girl goes and reprimands her mother and vice versa. Those places where people do not live by the commandments of the Qur’an are just misery. Everyday becomes one of an annoyance. There is nothing but disgrace. This is so common wherever Islam is not experienced.

One talks and while saying something commits a sin, he engages in an activity and commits a sin. Many people suffer a lot out of watching sinful acts and hearing insults day and night. They are hurt in the spiritual sense, they suffer a lot. But in paradise, we neither see sin nor hear a vile word. No one says absurd things...

All that is said is, ‘Peace! Peace!’(Surat al-Waqia, 26)

Security, beauty, goodness and well being...

" And the Companions of the Right:what of the Companions of the Right?" (Surat al-Waqia, 27)

Amid thornless lote-trees (Surat al-Waqia, 28)

People are prone to love fruit trees but we can not see them in big cities. They are only available in villages. People go there in order to be able to see them. This is a special love;something that deeply influences a person. On the other hand village life is difficult. There is comfort in the city. The comfort of city life and the sweetness of village life will merge only in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as).

and fruit-laden acacias (Surat al-Waqia, 29)

There are endless gardens of fruit in paradise.

and wide-spreading shade (Surat al-Waqia, 30)

Paradise is generally shady; it is bright but not disturbing. It is neither cool nor hot. Matters have their own light. In this world there are sources of light; they become instrumental. Here, Allah makes a lamp instrumental for enlightenment, He creates as if the light originates from the lamp. Normally the light is created directly upon us, but Allah always creates a source in order not to eliminate our free will. For instance if there exists light with no source, then a very weird situation will come into being. Allah creates the Sun or  a lamp as a source. In paradise, there exists no Sun or a lamp. Everything has its own light with no source. That is why there is mild climate, not an environment in which heat or cold will discomfort us.

and outpouring water (Surat al-Waqia, 30)

There are creeks and rivers in paradise…

and fruits in abundance, (Surat al-Waqia, 32)

There are the fruits never before seen as well as the most quality forms of the current ones.

never failing, unrestricted. (Surat al-Waqia, 33)

In paradise, the moment a person eats a bird’s flesh, that bird starts to fly again. The moment one plucks a fruit from its branch and the moment it comes into being again is the very same moment. That is why a depletion of any kind, in no way, occurs in paradise. A preson who owns a fruit tree here generally does not have the heart to pluck a fruit from his tree; he does not touch it so as to keep it beautiful on its branch. In paradise, that beauty is never damaged. You can eat and take as much as you want; it appears again the moment you take it. For instance a person does not have the heart to eat a bird; he wants to keep that beauty as it is.

unrestricted.Everything in paradise is lawful. There is no need to pay attention if something is lawful or not. Everything is lawful.

And on elevated couches (Surat al-Waqia, 34)

People always love to look at things from a high location. That is why Allah creates the mansions of paradise  at high places.

made them purest virgins, (Surat al-Waqia, 36)

This is an explicit evidence that there is sexuality in paradise, because virginity is something related with sexuality. In order to call a woman a “virgin”, she needs to have genital oÅrgans. Otherwise she can not be a woman. We understand the presence of sexuality from the very first verse.

devoted, passionate, of like age, (Surat al-Waqia, 37)

People in paradise are devoted to one another with love. They are of the same age. There is not a certain age in paradise, they appear as if they are all 33 years old. Both women and men have the appearance of mature, well-groomed human beings. But love is very dominant. They are passionately in love.

" for the Companions of the Right. (Surat al-Waqia, 38)

A large group of the earlier people (Surat al-Waqia, 39)

and a large group of the later ones. (Surat al-Waqia, 40)

Who are “the later ones”? The followers of Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the people of the End Times who serve Islam and the Qur’an.

Allah addresses to Darwnists and materialists:

“We created you so why do you not confirm the truth?” (Surat al-Waqia, 57)

Have you thought about the sperm that you ejaculate? (Surat al-Waqia, 58)

How can a person see sperm? It can only be seen under a microscope. Under an electron microscope. How can one see a single sperm with the naked eye? Practising science is compulsory. It is not possible to see it otherwise.

Is it you who create it or are We the Creator? (Surat al-Waqia, 59)

You are aware of the glorious nature of sperm. Its tail, movements etc. The guy is  remarkably smart.

We have decreed death for you and We will not be forestalled (Surat al-Waqia, 60)

That is to say, Almighty Allah says that He is the One Who kills us.

in replacing you with others the same as you and re-forming you in a way you know nothing about. (Surat al-Waqia, 61)

As you see Allah says, “...you in a way you know nothing about”. In other words in a way that we can never comprehend in the scientific sense. Allah says that He will change all the systems; in a way that we can no longer understand the matters of physics and chemistry. It will  be a brand new creation. There are some current laws; they will all be removed. But on the other hand you can also fly. There is not a law of physics similar to the one we see in this world.

You have known the first formation,so will you not pay heed? (Surat al-Waqia, 62)

How can we understand the first formation. We look at the structure of a protein. We understand how Allah creates vacoules, mitochondria, golgi apparatus by seeing each one of them under electron microscope. What happens when we understand it? Allah says, You have known the first formation.” So we will know it. Will you not pay heed?” Allah says,Shouldn’t we see the prodigious nature in this and have profound faith in Allah?”

Have you thought about what you cultivate?

(Surat al-Waqia, 63)

The science of seeds are a totally different matter. That is why we prepare seeds to display them in our shows. If you go and ask a person if he has ever seen a seed, he will probably say, “No, I haven’t.” Very few people have seen seeds. People must also see the cross-sections of seeds. It needs to be scrutinized profoundly.

Is it you who make it germinate or are We the Germinator? (Surat al-Waqia, 64)

The law that applies here is tremendous. For instance you place a a fig seed under the  and in thirty years time it turns into a tree of 30 meters. It has hundreds of thousands of leaves and hundreds of thousands of fruits. A seed is as big as a pinhead. In thirty years time it turns into a giant tree; two and a half meters in diameter, 30 meters tall. Think of it in time-lapse terms, like a movie.  You place something the size of a pin-head into the earth and immediately it turns into a giant tree, it brings forth fruits like rain, and everyone enjoys eating them.

(In response to an audience member who asked, “Almost during all my regular prayers, mundane tasks occur to my mind. How should I interpret this?”)

Such things come to the minds of lots of people. Hazrat Ali (ra) says, “I will perform my prayer without listening to  the whispers of others. I will perform with nothing occuring to my mind.” Even Hazrat Ali (ra) says so; worldly issues come to his mind even when he prays. It happens while performing prayers, it does not invalidate it. Nothing happens. When you realize it, you can clear  your mind and continue, insha’Allah.
