In brief, nobody should go along with idiots who try to portray Islam and horrible and filthy. That is out of the question. Being a Muslim is the lifestyle of the best quality people in the world. Just think, how can a person be most perfect? Living by Islam. How can he be the best and highest quality? Living by Islam. The pleasantest, the most intelligent, the cleanest, the most accurate in his actions, the finest thinking, the most modest, the most affectionate, the most humane… I could go on for ever. Muslim is what you call someone who integrates all these qualities. Who knows Allah and is fully submitted to Him. Of course, knowing Allah is very important. People want you to teach them to pray and the ritual purifications. But do you believe in Allah first? Getting up and down is not praying. You must have faith first. There is no prayer without faith. Not, prayer first, then faith. Almighty Allah always speaks of faith in the Qur’an. Allah has created our minds as we can easily find faith and find Him if we do not strain ourselves. We have been created to be fully submitted. If someone regards faith as hard, then satan will infest him. Faith is easy. One just has to leave a person to his natural state, to himself, leave his soul so its normal state. Someone in his natural state will then forge a bond with Allah. It is because people go along with satan and force themselves that they cannot establish a bond with Allah. They are caught up behind silly doubts. Why is this like this, and that like that? They do not think the best of Allah, they are suspicious of Him. For example, how did satan first cause Hazrat Adam (pbuh) and Hazrat Eve to doubt?
It is a terrible and very bad thing not to love Allah! Allah does all this work for us. Not work, but just so you understand. He takes such care... Look how lovely the stones of these prayer beads are. These are real stones. He creates them just to give us pleasure, masha’Allah. Almighty Allah makes a pumpkin pie and puts the sugar in the pumpkin, so the whole package is ready for us, masha’Allah. But look, it is Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) who has the most faith in Allah in all the world. There will be scholars and learned people. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will not have that much learning. We see that from the hadiths. He is not a learned person in that sense. He has not been educated. He has knowledge from the Mind of Allah, but no madrassa learning. He has not been educated by teachers and scholars. We can see that from the hadiths. He has knowledge from the Mind of Allah, revealed knowledge. He is one of the people of love. He is submitted to pain and suffering. Allah makes him Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) because of his sincere love. How many thousand years? He bestows the rank of Mahdi on him in the 10 or 20,000 years of history. Solely because of his submission in the face of troubles and difficulties and his fortitude. Allah asks him in the world beyond; “Are you willing to undergo much tribulation?” “I will make you the Mahdi after 6000 years,” He says. Look, Almighty Allah gives the date. “I will make you the Mahdi after 6000 years,” He says. “I will send you to mankind. But you will suffer many troubles and much pain. Do you agree?” “I accept with pride, O Lord,” he replies. Allah later sends Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) to the world. If an ordinary person, someone from the society of ignorance, were to undergo Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh) sufferings for just one day, he might deny Allah, may He forbid. One day. While Allah fans his love, He will cause that weak-minded person to lose faith. Look, this is the secret of the test. The same. You take the same man, then another man comes and causes him to lose his faith, but with Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), he incites the love of Allah. That is why Allah loves Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) very much. That is how it is with Jesus the Messiah (pbuh), too. He is a firm believer in Allah, with a huge and piercing faith. He has absolute faith. He never abandons it. Indeed, the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is astonished by the weak in faith. You see that also in the Gospel. “O you who are weak in faith,” he says. He is astonished. But the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) did not suffer, he always lived well and in comfort. The provisions in the Torah about that suffering refer to the King Messiah, Moshe. Shiloh, Moshiah, Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh) Hebrew name is Moshiah, or Shiloh. “His Hebrew name will be heard in the sky,” it says in a hadith. The name Shiloh, in other words. The hadith says that this name of Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh), the Hebrew name, will be heard among Muslims, in the Islamic world. Look, there are frequent references to Shiloh, aren’t there? The Hebrew name. Look, this hadith has come about. This is Rasulullah’s (saas) hadith come true.
In essence, Almighty Allah tests Muslims with a very fine test. A glorious test. I am amazed by Allah every day. A magnificent test. There are scholars with a store of learning, but no faith. Allah says in a verse that such people are like donkeys loaded with books. Allah compares them to donkeys loaded with books. But with faith, a huge system of the Mahdi can appear, people with such knowledge. But without faith, they are paralyzed. There are these very well-known scholars, but they have no faith. They are wretched, as if half-crazy. They speak the most nonsensical words.
Look how kindly Almighty Allah bestows this beauty. See His consideration. The perfume reaches us before we even cut the watermelon. Delicious.
(I response to a viewer who asks, “My dear hodja, has Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) begun work, or is he waiting?”)
The way of the Mahdi is a most sincere activity. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is a man of suffering. Bediüzzaman says, “That individual of the End Times may perhaps be recognized through the light of faith.” Maybe, through the light of faith. People may think the best. Some of my brothers think the best of me, imagining I might be the Mahdi. That may sometimes come to one’s mind. One may wonder, “Could I be the Mahdi?” It may come to many Muslims’ minds. That is not a crime, it is something necessary. A Muslim prays to Allah to make pre-eminent among those who have faithfulness. There is a verse about it. In other words, every man and woman must pray to be like Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). But if one says, “I am the Mahdi, I am the person of the End Times, I will go to paradise,” then that is unbelief and one thus abandons the faith. But thinking the best is always possible. That is a requirement of good moral values.
Surat al-Anfal, verse 62
Almighty Allah says:
“If they intend to deceive you, Allah is enough for you.” If they wish to trick you, says Allah, “It is He Who supported you with His help and with the believeres,” says Allah.
A verse that explicitly refers to the way of the Mahdi. Because it gives the date of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), insha’Allah. Of course it is a verse addressed to our Prophet (saas), but figuratively it refers to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh).
Surat al-Anfal, 63
“and unified their hearts...”says Almighty Allah of the believers. “Even if you had spent everything on the earth,” no matter how much money or fortune you have, “you could not have unified their hearts. But Allah has unified them.” He has made them brothers and made them love one another. “He is Almighty, All-Wise.”
Surat al-Anfal, 64
“O Prophet! Allah is enough for you, and for the believers who follow you,” says Almighty Allah.
This is at the same time a verse referring to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Look, “O Mahdi! Allah is enough for you, and for the believers who follow you,” Because our Prophet (saas) is a Mahdi. Look, “Allah is enough for you, and for the believers who follow you,” It does not matter if you are few in number, Allah says. It is not important if they attack you or defame you or imprison you. It is of no importance if they set traps and defame you. “Allah is enough for you, and for the believers who follow you,” Because all strength lies in Me, He says. Who gave strength to those who uttered the slanders? Allah. They were destined to utter those slanders before they were even born.
Surat al-Anfal, 65
“O Prophet! spur on the believers to fight...” to preach, to spread Islam. “If there are twenty of you who are steadfast, they will overcome two hundred; and if there are a hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand of those who are kafir,” atheists and unbelievers, “because they are people who do not understand.”
Look how we have destroyed a great atheist mass with a very, very tiny community. We have eliminated the Darwinist mass. The verse explicitly refers to that. Look, Allah speaks of 20 people, not many. Twenty people is highly significant. The number of Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh) followers, a very special group of followers, does not exceed 20 in the hadiths. The verse also speaks of 20 people. It speaks of a group of 20 people among the 313. Look, “if there are a hundred of you.” Not many people, do you see? One hundred. That is a second team.
Surat al-Anfal, 71
“But if they mean to betray you,” says Allah of the hypocrites, “they have already previously betrayed Allah, so He has given you power over them. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”
Surat al-Anfal, 73
“Those who are unbelievers,” atheists, those who do not believe in Allah, Darwinists and materialists, “are the friends and protectors of one another.” They are one another’s friends and helpers. They protect and watch over one another everywhere. “If you do not act in this way,” if Muslims do not support and protect and watch over one another everywhere, “there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption...” says Almighty Allah. All Muslims must support one another, He says. But what do people do? They fall out with one another, don’t they? This verse describes a feature of the time of the way of the Mahdi. Look, “If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.” The way of the antichrist has made Muslims do this. And there has been great turmoil and corruption. Muslims have been defeated and scattered. And turmoil has enfolded the whole Islamic world. It is Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and his followers who will eliminate that turmoil. It is Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and his followers who will eliminate that corruption.
Surat al-Anfal, 74
“Those who believe,” those who leave their families and join the Muslims for Allah’s sake. “and make hijra later on and accompany you in striving,” they take Muslims into their homes and protect their brothers. “and those who have given refuge and help,” they give them material assistance. “they are the true believers.” That is what real Muslims are like, says Allah. “They will have forgiveness and generous provision.”
He says He will make them rich. This is a most superior reward. Allah says they will have pleasant food and drink and be wealthy. Normally, one would expect all that spending to impoverish them, wouldn’t one? But Allah says He will make them rich. As a miracle.2012-06-24 13:26:16
