111- Today I have rewarded them for being steadfast. They are the ones who are victorious.’
Steadfastness is vitally important. For example, the way of the Mahdi will last a long time and, and we will go through many unexpected events. It requires fortitude. One’s whole life will be spent with fortitude, insha’Allah.
112- He will say, ‘How many years did you tarry on the earth?’
113- They will say, ‘We tarried there for a day or part of a day. Ask those able to count!’
They think they stayed a very short time. That is their honest opinion. Not even one day. Just part of one day, they say. Yet they actually spent a whole lifetime.
114- He will say, ‘You only tarried there for a little while if you did but know!
Allah says you spent only a little time there. As little as a second or less in the Sight of Allah. Normally people remain just for a moment. How long is a moment? An infinitely short space of time. But they regard it as a long lifetime. The whole life of the universe has come and gone in an infinitely short moment. Less than a trillionth of a second. Less than a quadrillionth of a second. Do you know how brief a space of time? An infinitely small one. A person remains on Earth for an infinitely short period of time.
115- Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would not return to Us?’
Not for you to have fun, jump up and down in discos, chase after money and chat away on Facebook. They eat and drink, shout, laugh at people and get married. They have children and worry about how to put them through school. They fight with their wives and retire. Then just as they are about to relax and enjoy retirement, they die.
116- Exalted be Allah, the King, the Real. There is no god but Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.
117- Whoever calls on another god together with Allah, has no grounds for doing so at all and his reckoning is with his Lord. Truly the unbelievers have no success.
118-Say: ‘My Lord, forgive and be merciful! You are the Best of the Merciful.’
Allah is also addressing Christians. I am amazed at the world. At Buddhists and Christians and Jews. The Qur’an is so clear and explicit. A Book that has come down in an unbroken line from our Prophet (saas) and has never conflicted with science in any way for 1400 years and that contains a great many miracles. There is no discrepancy. It eases the heart of everyone who reads it. But many people who read the Gospel become upset. It has been corrupted. Parts of the Torah have also been corrupted. There can be no argument about that. And as for the Buddhists! My mind fails to take them in at all. They carve an idol from wood and light a candle in front of it. These people include professors. Professors of medicine. I do not understand it at all. Yet the Qur’an is so explicit and accessible. It is all revelation. An immaculate Book. It never upsets anyone. Everything it says is true. It leaves no room for doubt. We want pure revelation. And pure revelation is in the Qur’an. Is the Gospel pure revelation? They say “It says what people heard.” Four people relate events. But they say different things. One says one thing, and another something else. What kind of divine scripture is that? Revelation is pure and unsullied. There is just one revelation in the Qur’an. It is crystal clear. It is all revelation. It eases the heart from start to finish. I have removed the erroneous parts of the Torah and the Gospels and made a book out of the true parts. That is why people who read the Torah and the Gospels must absolutely read my book.
