This documentary about sea mammals like elephant seals and whales there contains an extremely amateurish evolutionist propaganda. In a segment that shows a leadership struggle among elephant seals gathered on the shore, we see how male elephant seals protect their family of many females and defend their territory from other males.

This documentary about sea mammals like elephant seals and whales there contains an extremely amateurish evolutionist propaganda. In a segment that shows a leadership struggle among elephant seals gathered on the shore, we see how male elephant seals protect their family of many females and defend their territory from other males. A doctoral student observing the elephant seals at this point draws this interesting conclusion about the growling sounds they make as they wrestle with each other:

“Here we see clearly how evolution works! Do you hear it? It is as if the two rivals are talking to each other. There is certainly a rivalry between them. This is a struggle for survival. Whatever these animals are doing is transmitted to the generations after them through their genes.”

In fact, neither the sounds made by wrestling elephant seals nor the sounds made by dogs, lions or any other animal have not the slightest value as a proof for the far-fetched claims of the theory of evolution. The fact that these animals are in rivalry with one another is not a sign of evolution. Even if these elephant seals made these growling sounds in generations of rivalry, they would not turn into another species; they would not undergo an evolution. As with all other animals, sea mammals constantly transmit their genes from one generation to the next, and this rivalry has not the slightest effect on their DNA. In short, these comments are unjustified and indicate the excitement of a doctoral student with Darwinist prejudices in a documentary produced by a TV channel with Darwinist prejudices. The doctoral student’s words “You see how evolution happens” are erroneous and superficial.
