This documentary about the various species of crocodile tells about this animal’s strong sense of smell, sight and hearing. Commentary in this segment tells the old story of the evolution of crocodiles.
“Millions of years of evolution have given them a wonderful repertoire of senses, smell, sight and hearing…”
In telling this story, National Geographic TV clearly ignores scientific findings. In the April 2003 issue of Focus magazine, it says that 140 millions years of crocodile fossils show no different from today’s crocodiles and that crocodiles are “living fossils.” In short, they appear all at once with their incomparable physiological structure and have not undergone any change since more than 100 millions years.0203-04-19 00:00:00
