Surat ar-Rum, 33 (One must know to regard an afflict bestowed by Allah as a blessing)

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar’s live interview dated September 10th, 2011

Surat ar-Rum, 33:

When harm touches people they call on their Lord, repenting to Him.” They pray, saying, Lord, lift this affliction from me, take this sickness from me.  “But then, when He gives them a taste of mercy from Him, a group of them immediately associate others with their Lord.”

Then they say, “I did it.” Whereas in fact Allah does it. They forget Allah there. All right, you say that Allah sent sickness and afflictions. And then? “I came by them by myself,” they say. That is ascribing equals to Allah. One must know to regard an afflict bestowed by Allah as a blessing, that Allah also created that as an opportunity. Otherwise, one is ascribing equals to Him, and that is most dishonest behavior.
