For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah.s praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward. (Surat al-Ahzab, 35)

The Prophet Joseph (pbuh) complied with this verse. The morality, revealed in this verse, existed also in the period of the Prophet Joseph (pbuh) and in the period of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh). This is a necessity of Islam's morality. These commandments exist in the entire Islamic religions and so the Prophet Joseph (pbuh) acted in accordance with this verse.  The Prophet Joseph (pbuh) is a prophet, he knows how to act. The Prophet Joseph (pbuh) did not marry Suleika.

This woman attacked an immaculate human being, slandered him, caused him to be imprisoned and to be kept in prison for years. She has the power to free him, but she doesn't. The first thing is that she attempts to rape him.The second one is that she slanders him. The third is she ruthlessly causes him to kept in prison for 7 years. She doesn't love the Prophet Joseph (pbuh), she merely approaches him with sexual desire and uses force against the Prophet Joseph (pbuh). She lies ruthlessly. She forgets him for 7 years and ignores him without having any information of his situation. Does someone forget whom she loves? Therefore, those who say that the Prophet Jospeh (pbuh) married Suleika are wrong. Al-Mawdudi, who is a great Islamic scholar, says in one of his statements as follows:

„The statements concerning the Prophet Joseph‘s marriage with Suleika after her husband's death are rather in conformity and on the basis of literary stories. When considering the reality, Suleika hasn't left a good impression.
The verses of the Qur‘an reveal that Suleika approached to every evil method in order to lead the Prophet Joseph (pbuh) astray. She tried to turn him aside from Allah‘s path, righteousness and truth.
It is firm in the verses that she lied and approached to several cheats for this. A marriage with such a woman would reduce the glory of a Prophet. The marriage of the Prophet Joseph (pbuh) and Suleika contradicts the following meaning of the verse:

Men and women who are Muslims, men and women who are believers, men and women who are obedient, men and women who are truthful, men and women who are steadfast, men and women who are humble, men and women who give sadaqa, men and women who fast, men and women who guard their private parts, men and women who remember Allah much: Allah has prepared forgiveness for them and an immense reward. (Surat al-Ahzab, 35)

The Prophet Joseph (as) complied with this verse. The moral values described in this verse also existed in the time of the Prophet Joseph (as) and in that of the Prophet Abraham (as). This is a requirement of Islamic moral values. These pronouncements occur in all the Islamic faiths, and the Prophet Joseph (as) acted in the light of this verse. The Prophet Joseph (as) knew how a prophet should act.
