What He Said?What Happened?

Mr. Adnan Oktar has said that there must be international intervention to establish a no-fly zone to protect civilians in Syria. Turkmen general Cavish asked for a no-fly zone at the Geneva II conference.

ADNAN OKTAR: How could we set up a safety zone? They are bombing from the air. How could it be? For once those flights must be prevented. America could ban Syria from using any planes. I don't know if they would listen to them though but it could be a way. It used to be like that. For example, they used to say for Iraq: “Within this latitude and altitude there is a no-fly zone.” Iraq followed that. This could be done for Syria as well: “Within such and such limits flights are off.” Then it would become a safety zone. Otherwise, a helicopter comes and a plane comes and bombs from the air. It is very hard.

ADNAN OKTAR: The problems in the Middle East and the whole world could be solved with the Turkish Islamic Union; therefore the Islamic Union must be established. Also there must be an embargo to make Syria stop this. If the whole world implemented an embargo then the Syrian regime would be paralyzed. In addition, flights can be prevents and weapons transport can be stopped. So a multi-directional embargo would be effective to make the Syrian state stop this attitude.

ADNAN OKTAR: NATO’s intervention must be very reasonable. It could be bloody, therefore I am just saying my opinion as a citizen: There must be a buffer zone from the Turkish border forward, for something like 30 kilometers: NATO must give an ultimatum to Syria. They must open the doors to people who want to escape for their lives.

This must be handled without spilling any blood. Such a blockade, a military blockade would make them immobile. It could also be an economic blockade. But of course this could be done in a way to take care of  the needs of the people like food and medicine and paralyze the state at the same time. They could be paralyzed militarily. Their aviation  can be shut down. They can shut it down everywhere. They can cut off their connections   overseas.

There must be an economic blockade and a military one. They must shut down Syria’s airspace , to all countries and everywhere. They can be made to kneel in this way, insha’Allah. And a 30 kilometer long safety zone, and that’s it; with good intentions. NATO must emphasize that they have good intentions. Also there could be some other possibilities that don't come to mind right now; it is important however not to cause any harm.

ADNAN OKTAR: What needs to be done there is to put a military blockade on Syria, and close air traffic and change the state as soon as possible by implementing an economic blockade. There is nothing complicated.

ADNAN OKTAR: Why argue about it? I don't understand what’s not normal about this. It is his own country, isn’t it? You are establishing a safety zone in his country; what is wrong with that? And the Syrian government can come if she wants and help her own citizens. As long as she comes with good intentions right? She can bring medicine and blankets. They are her citizens, right? If she tries to kill them of course she will be pushed back; if they come to oppress. But if they have good intentions; for example, they can bring doctors and medicine. People from Syria and every other country can come for help. A 20 kilometers long safety zone can be established. I said this fifty times. They are just getting used to this idea now. However this is very normal. I don't understand those who oppose  this. For example within this safety zone there could be a no-fly zone. All flight can be banned. And this can be told to Syria. No helicopters, planes or nothing. They can't just do whatever they’d like. Children are being slaughtered there. There is something very abnormal.
