Surah Yusuf, 104:
“You do not ask them for any wage for it. It is only a reminder to all beings.”This is one of the issues that people are most sensitive about; people expect those who preach Islam and the Qur’an to assume a sincere style solely to earn the good pleasure of Allah. Asking for any wage causes a horrible unease in people. Although what the preacher says may be accurate, many people evade listening to such a person.
“It is only a reminder to all beings.” Why does Allah say, “reminder”?Because a person must make the decision himself. He needs to decide for himself. Because his sincere decision is important, it is told as a “reminder”.
(Regarding the news report which appeared in the Zaman Daily “A claim is filed for an insult against religious values. The verdict of ECHM became an example.”)
A person may criticize the religion, but insulting it is not permitted. Allah forbid, he may not believe in the existence of Allah, and express it; this is allowed but when it comes to an insult, it is unacceptable. One may also not embrace the holy values but again an insult is not acceptable. If you insult, then the state gets hold of you; this is the case wherever you go in the world; not only in Turkey. The person who filed a claim is Kartal, one of my students. He read such an insult on the Internet and as a Muslim he could not bear it. Many people do not care about such incidents at all; they only care when someone comes and insults them. If one insults the religion and the holy values, they do not care. But Kartal, my student, is offended by it, and he went to the public prosecution office and filed a claim and asked for the verdict of the ECHR to be taken as an example for it. I also congratulate the esteemed prosecutor. Let us side with our prosecutors. In such cases, atheists and satanists give prosecutors a hard time, but people remain silent about it and they leave them alone. This is unbecoming. We must always support government officials. If they attack the police, go and support the police. If they attack prosecutors or judges, or the prime minister, go and support them. Everyone must side with the oppressed and the just. When the religion and holy values are insulted, our citizens must immediately take action. Surely some people might have not noticed them at all. I exclude them, but if one is aware of what is happening and still remains silent, this would be unbecoming, because they bring the heavens and earth down when they are insulted themselves. The very same procedures have to be put into action when an attack is made on the religion and the holy values. People may criticize, they may, Allah forbid, say that Allah does not exist, they can say whatever they wish. They may philosophize, speak against it, but when an insult is in question, this would not be a becoming attitude. It would be very filthy.
(Mr. Oktar’s explanations on Surat Ar-Ra‘d)
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed satan:
Surat ar-Rad, 32: “Messengers before you were mocked.” Allah says that Heabsolutely did this. He says that this certainly happened as a law of His because it is also Allah Who creates the mockery. This is essential for the trial. “I gave those who weredisbelieversa little more time.” A certain time. For instance, Allah currently grants a certain period of time for the Unity of Islam. A certain time;“and then I seized them.” Allah destroys them suddenly. He destroys them in various different ways.“How terrible was My retribution!” Also Almighty Allah asks.“How terrible it was?” Excellent, Alhamdulillah.
Surat ar-Rad 29: “Those who have faith and do right actions, happiness will be theirs”, says Allah. Having faith and engaging in deeds in a sincere manner; what he does is sincere.“And a wonderful Homecoming.” Allah says that the beautiful part of Paradise is theirs.
Surat ar-Rad 30: "In the same way We have sent you among a nation before which other nations passed away.” Many nations passed away before. They were renewed, and they also passed away and then came another nation."We have sent you (as a messenger);” “to recite to them what We have revealed to you” Allah reveals by means of Hazrat Jibril (as). Allah says that He assigned Hazrat Jibril (as) with revealing. “Yet they still reject the All-Merciful..” Being ungratefulis common to the majority of bigots, the cruel and the irreligious. “Say: ‘He is my Lord;””Allah is my Lord. “there is no god but Him.” He is the One.“I put my trust in Him” Notice that this is of vital importance. What does putting trust in Allah mean? “I submitted myself to Him; I see goodness in whatever happens.”and I turn to Him." We came here from the realm of souls, and from here we go to the hereafter. Our last return is to Him.
Surat ar-Rad, 31: “Even if there was a Qur’an which moved mountains, or split the earth open or spoke to the dead . . .! On the contrary! The affair is Allah’s altogether.” That is to say, whatever happens, it is AllahWhomakes it so.“Do those who have faithnot know that if Allah had wanted to He could have guided all mankind?”There are some Muslims who say, “Why haven’t these people converted to Islam. I preach Islam so enthusiastically but still…” The fact is however, conversion happens by Allah’s will. What does Allah say? “‘Had We so willed We could have given guidance to everyone, but now My Words are shown to be true:”Allah says that He would do it if He wills. For the trial to take place, some people must not be given guidance. However, some of them are confused with this. The fact is however, they are specially created. “Those who are unbelievers will not cease to be struck by disaster” This may be a disease, a scourge or a disaster “for what they have done – or a disaster will happen close to their homes” There are various kinds of disasters all around the world, you witness them all.“until Allah’s promise is fulfilled.” UntilHazrat Mahdi (as) appears and the Day of Judgment arrives.
Surat ar-Rad 35:“What is the Garden promised to those who fear Allah like? It has rivers flowing under it,” There is a little river flowing from the place where you sit. This is the adornment peculiar to the houses of paradise. There is water flowing everywhere in paradise, everywhere. “ its foodstuffs and cool shade never fail.” How canfoodstuffs be permanent? The moment you pluck them, they remain on the branches. There is continuity about everything. For instance, something clean remains clean all the time. “cool shade never fails”You know shadows never remain in the same place; once it becomes shadowy, the sun rises and it is followed by darkness. But in paradise the shadow is continuous. That is to say, it is neither too hot nor too cold. It is mild. Also it is shadowy. How does shadow come into existence? Shadow exists because matter is luminous itself. There is not a source of light that feeds it from outside. Because the matter is luminous itself, the shadow also comes into existence by itself. That is the final fate of those who have awe of Allah. But the final fate of the unbelievers is the Fire.Allah says that “the blissful end is for believers. At every stage there is absolute beauty and ease.
Surat ar-Rad 35-36:“Those to whom We gave the Book rejoice at what has been sent down to you”That is to say, “Christians and Jews rejoice at the revelation of the Qur’an. In other words, Allah says that this is how a Christian and Jew must feel about it. They must be glad with it, “but some of the parties refuse to acknowledge part of it”They adopt some of the provisions of the Qur’an but deny some others. Say: ‘I have only been ordered to worship Allah and not to associate anything with Him.” The issue against which they are most opposed is the Oneness of Allah. They either demand the trinity or idolatry. “I summon to Him and to Him I will return.”
Surat ar-Rad, 37: “Accordingly We have sent it down as a judgment in Arabic. If you followed their whims and desires after the knowledge that has come to you,” the bigots of the timeconstantly made pressure upon our Prophet (saas) asking him to issue new provisions. For instance, they demand new provisions about women. They wanted new provisions to be issued about joy and entertainment. They are bored of freedom and of ease. They ask for pressure from our Prophet (saas).“If you followed their whims and desires” That is, if you submit to the pressure made by bigots,“after the knowledge” the Qur’an,“that has come to you.”“You would have no protector or defender against Allah.Almighty Allah says,“Never conform to the bigots and the idolaters of the time.”
Surat ar-Rad 38: “We sent Messengers before you and gave them wives and children. Nor was any Messenger able to bring a Sign except by Allah’s permission.”That is to say Allah says that a prophet cannot do them by his own will. He can also not work miracles. Neither can he bring forth any provisions or verses.
“There is a prescribed limit to every term.”A prescribed time; for instance if something will be broken, there is a certain time for it. If something will turn out to end auspiciously, it turns out to be so at the end of a certain period of time, and they are fixed in destiny.
Surat ar-Rad 39:”“Allah erases whatever He wills or endorses it. The Master Copy of the Book is in His Hands.” Almighty Allah says that “Destiny is in His Sight.” That is to say, the main destiny is there, and it changes in no way.2012-01-13 11:34:01
