Highlights from Mr. Adnan Okar's interview on 21 April 2012

A9 TV, 21 April 2012

For example, I used to think that Nasrallah was very faithful, but now I see that he supports the communist Syrian regime. My brother, your beard is down to your waist and you have a seven-meter turban round your head. I thought you were pious and were a Muslim? Why are you supporting people who recognize no Allah or Book?  They are Marxists at heart. They have a Leftist mindset, but loudly strike their breasts and say they are Muslims, saying, “Come, O Mahdi...” Fine. But what about the system? The system is communist. Why do you support a communist government, my brother? You say you are devoted to the Qur’an and walk around in turban and robes, totally based on the Sunnah, you say. And that is all fine, masha’Allah. You must live by Islam and the Qur’an. Muslims are being slaughtered. The Red Syrian Army that recognizes no Allah, Book, religion or faith, is slaughtering Muslims, and you are watching. At least enter Syria, my brother. Say, “We will not permit Muslims to be slaughtered, so stop doing it.” “No, what Syria is doing is right,” he says. I really thought that Nasrallah was very faithful. I never thought that such a Muslim would make any concessions regard Islam. We look at their roots and they have one foot in Venezuela. One in Red China, and another in North Korea. They go hand in glove with Chinese experts. What kind of faithfulness is this? How is that being a Muslim. What support for the Mahdi? What army of the Mahdi is this? I fail to understand. There is a need for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) to appear, in all respects, right across the world.

They are crude and loud and make people uncomfortable. Most women go crazy. They can do something crazy when you least expect. They can display the most amazing hypocrisy and disloyalty. But you always know what a Muslim will do. Even if angered he will be just and reasonable. Because he knows that Allah can see and hear him. So he never departs from justice and equity. He is always reasonable and forgiving and gentle. When people are irreligious though, they go crazy. They eat away at themselves out of stress. They become addicted to drugs. Then they try tranquilizers. If that doesn’t work they add things to their cigarettes and smoke crack and things like that. They become aggressive and break windows and glass. They start self-harming. They become really foul, may Allah forbid.

(Advice to people who find reading books boring)

Some people say, “I do not like reading books.” That may be. People may find it boring. But giving books as presents is delightful. Not enjoying reading is only 1% of it. Insist on giving books. Encourage people to read them. But my advice to those who find it boring is to open the book somewhere in the middle. Read three sentences. Then read two sentences from some other page. That will have the same effect, insha’Allah. Allah will produce the appropriate sections, the passages they need. That would be marvelous, insha’Allah.

(For sincere faith)

If you are honest and sincere, Allah will always draw you close to faith. Of course, lofty faith is a great blessing. But Allah sometimes gives average faith, or below average faith. And sometimes lofty faith. You just cling to Allah. They are all valid. Allah even accepts just submission. “Do not say you believe,” He says. “You did not believe,” He says. Allah tells them to say, “We have become Muslims [We have submitted].” Almighty Allah even accepts that. You must be honest. Look at the proofs of Allah. Love Allah. But you must always think the best of Allah. Allah must not be doubted. You will be disgraced afterward if you do. You will be humiliated. Always think in Allah’s favor. Then you will realize that He is right. People think the worst of Allah and are then disgraced. They are always humiliated. One must always think in favor of Allah.

The love of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) comes from faith. Anyone who loves Allah will love Hazrat Mahdi. Anyone who loves our Prophet (saas) will love Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). And anyone who hates Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will hate the Prophet (saas), may Allah forbid. Anyone opposed to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is opposed to Allah. Because Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) espouses Islam and the Qur’an. This fear of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is unbelievable.
