Azerbaijan and Turkey, two states, one nation

Adnan Oktar: Everyone regards the European Union as perfectly natural. They regard the Mediterranean Union as normal. So it is perfectly reasonable for the Turks, our brothers, to come together. For example, if, may Allah forbid, Konya, Erzurum and Izmir were separate from us, we would say we are all brothers, ask what was going on and say we should be united.

Cay TV: You say it is as natural as that.

Adnan Oktar: As natural as that. WE SHARE ONE FAITH, ONE LANGUAGE AND ONE EVERYTHING. WE SHARE THE SAME ORIGINS, WE ARE BROTHERS, BUT WE ARE SEPARATED. If we suggested to Azerbaijan today that we should unite they would accept that very same day. All that is needed is for an official proposal to be made. We can easily unite as two states, one nation. There are no obstacles. That goes for Kazakhstan, too, and Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan and East Turkestan. They will all be better off as a result of amalgamating with Turkey. It is the same in the Islamic world. Iraq and Syria are really keen to unite with Turkey. The only problem lies in Turkey setting it out, giving it a name. All we need to is suggest it.

Azerbaijan Ayna Newspaper, 8 August 2008

Adnan Oktar:
The latest developments show this. For example, Azerbaijan uniting with Turkey as a priority is a most vital matter and may even become a reality in these weeks or months or this year.... Absolutely everything about us is the same. Splitting Azerbaijan from Turkey is like splitting Ankara and Istanbul. There is no difference. The one is just as logical or illogical as the other. It needs to happen at once. If Turkey made an official proposal the answer from Azerbaijan would come back within 24 hours. They just need to make the proposal official. I do not think it would disturb anyone.

Iran Al Alam, 23 September 2008

Adnan Oktar: There will be a Turkish-Islamic Union under Turkish leadership within the next 10 years, let me say that. I am here. If it does not happen, then come and reproach me with it then. But it will happen. But Turkey and the Turkish nation will be at its head, let me make that plain. I am giving the fine detail. Azerbaijan will unite with Turkey as two states, one nation. Syria will soon unite with Turkey. Iraq will soon unite with Turkey, and there will be a chain reaction in a near future. The Caucasian project will come about, and that is part of the Turkish-Islamic Union.... There is no other road outside that, no alternative to the Turkish-Islamic Union. There is no other path for Islamic countries and for Turkey. This is ordained by Allah... there is a time for all things, and that holy time has now come, and will all come about, insha’Allah.

We will keep on defending Azerbaijan’s benefits

In his address at the Azeri Parliament, Erdogan said that the Turkish and Azeri people rejoiced, grieved and, when necessary, waged war together. He then went on to state:

''The liberty and freedom of Azerbaijan, its well-being and peace, are as important as our own future, freedom, well-being and peace. There are unbreakable bonds between us. We share the same language, beliefs, customs and civilization. We have listened to the same legends together in the past, grown with the same epics, been moved by the same music and rhythms and danced to the same tunes and airs... Because we are one nation, two states. There is no change and there can be no change in this understanding… Azerbaijan’s soul is our soul. Its existence is our existence, its happiness is our happiness. There is no room for any other instance of brotherhood in international relations. It exists solely between ourselves. It expresses itself as a lofty summit. We want the existence of our country to bring security to the Azeri Turks. Our duty as two brother countries is to maintain our close relations and to send a powerful message of unity to friend and foe, and for the governments and oppositions in our parliaments to permit no activities that might wear our countries down.”
