Highlights from Adnan Oktar's interview dated December 9, 2010

Internet culture has a harmful impact on some people. They think that the internet is something that surpasses the Qur’an, may Allah forbid, or even surpasses Allah, may He forbid. It is Allah Who created the internet and the computer. Allah creates them all inside the brain, but they are unaware of this. They touch the keys in the brains, though they do not realize. They watch the screens in their brains, but do not realize. There is a screen on the outside, but everything is in darkness there. But Allah shows it brightly and in perfect form in the brain.

The difficult thing is injustice. Blood, oppression and tears are difficult. But if you embrace someone, it is very easy. Why should love and friendship be difficult? Division is a terrible scourge. You cannot say, I want to be happy while you are miserable. If Palestine were to be happy while Israel is wretched, while mothers and children were poor and hungry in Israel, that would not make us happy. If they are afraid of Muslim unity, that will not make us happy. People must not fear one another. If people fear, then there is the way of the dajjal (antichrist), but if they do not fear, that is the way of the Mahdi. Turkish-Islamic Union is also very easy. It can come about in 1 hour. People are amazed how we can go to Kazakhstan without a passport. But why are they not surprised when we do not need a passport to go to Konya? Konya or Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Istanbul, what is the difference? Satan depicts love and affection as difficult. He says it is very difficult to love at this time. But anger and hatred are easy. But in fact, hatred and revenge are difficult scourges. Allah says He will bestow success in an easy way. Islamic Union is easy. Turkish-Islamic Union is easy. They exaggerate things. Brotherhood in faith causes great rejoicing in the soul. Brotherhood in faith is a union that satisfies the soul.

Surat at-Tawba,
88- But the Messenger and those who believe along with him have struggled with their wealth and with themselves. They are the people who will have the good things. They are the ones who are successful.

The leader of the Muslims at that time was our Prophet (saas), and the leader of Muslims in the End Times is Hazrat Mahdi (as). Who was it who was with our Prophet (saas) in that time? The Companions, the People of Badr. How many People of Badr were there? 313. How many followers will Hazrat Mahdi (as) have? 313. Muslims will devote all their assets to Allah. They will say their life and death are for the Lord Allah. They buy books and hand them out, research and preach.

89- Allah has prepared Gardens for them with rivers flowing under them, remaining in them timelessly, for ever. That is the great victory.

Allah says He will constantly bestow goodness, and no evil will touch them. That means salvation. There is no half-salvation, it is full salvation. Full happiness in this world means the global dominion of Islam. A person’s strongest instinct is to live forever, to want to be immortal.  A person does want to be mortal. That is the only instinct that is not satisfied, but Allah satisfies it in the hereafter. Allah bestows no instinct He will not satisfy. Paradise is the great happiness in the hereafter, while the only salvation in this world is the global dominion of Islam.

90- The desert arabs came with their excuses asking for permission to stay, and those who lied to Allah and His Messenger stayed behind. A painful punishment will afflict those among them who are unbelievers.

The Bedouin are ignorant, with little knowledge or culture. They attend to their own affairs and always ask to be excused. They always make excuses; ‘with your leave, I am going to get married, with your leave I must go to work, with your leave I must get to school, with your leave I am very tired’. There are also those who lie. They lie and do not go, they do not want to do anything. But Allah says there will be a painful punishment for the unbelievers. Muslims must be active and vigorous. They imagine they have faith, but it turns out they do not. They imagine they are monotheists, but they turn out to be polytheists in the hereafter.

91- Nothing is held against the weak and sick nor against those who find nothing to spend, provided they are true to Allah and His Messenger – there is no way open against good-doers, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful –

One must be fervently devoted to Islam and the Qur’an. A Muslim must uninterruptedly call people to good deeds, day and night. A Muslim must be strong, not weak. Weakness is the opposite of being a Muslim. He must be strong in body and soul. A Muslim must take good care of himself. He must take precautions not to fall ill. Medical knowledge is essential. He must strive not to fall ill and to be strong. Allah wants us to be rich and to strive hard, and they must do that by devoting themselves to Allah. He says you are not in sin in that situation. But He also says that is how we must be, and must strive to be so.

Allah could inflict all kinds of suffering in this image if He so wished, but He bestows wonderful opportunities. He bestows the means of preaching to the whole world. I knew that Islam would rule the world back in ’79. But I did not know that the internet, radio and TV would be so powerful. Allah’s blessings have come about, especially the internet. The internet is Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) sword of knowledge, insha’Allah.

Work is an act of worship. OK, but speaking nicely, praying and fasting are also acts of worship. It is illogical to perform the obligation of work but to say there is no need to pray or describe the truth. Acts of worship are a single whole. Every business should have its own place of worship. There are waiting rooms in hospitals and places to sit down, and there is no logic in saying people cannot sit down there. Everywhere should be built with that in mind. There must be places to eat and places to worship. The people building these workplaces must think of that.

Spiritual guides refer to Hazrat Mahdi (as) without mentioning him explicitly. But we can smell the system of the Mahdi everywhere. I mean, when we enter a rose garden we do not ask something if it is a rose. We can tell it is a rose by its perfume and appearance. And in the same way, Hazrat Mahdi will smell abundantly and shine out.

The antichrist is who Allah says he is. Jesus the Messiah is who Allah says he is. The Mahdi is also who Allah says. There will be false Mahdis, but no false antichrists. They will have followers. False Messiahs and Mahdis just strengthen them.

Samsun AKS TV, 9 December 2010

Surat an-Nahl,
125- Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair admonition, and argue with them in the kindest way. Your Lord knows best who is misguided from His way. And He knows best who are guided.

With wisdom; with short, striking and true words. With words that convince and remain in one’s memory, with good advice, with comprehensible words that comfort the heart, with convincing artistry, without causing any strife or corruption. He [Allah] knows the antichrist and Hazrat Mahdi (as).

126- If you want to retaliate, retaliate to the same degree as the injury done to you. But if you are patient, it is better to be patient.

Respond to what is done to Muslims many times over, within the law. Allah tells us to be patient. One may respond quickly, rudely to one’s spouse, and that creates strife. Allah says that there is goodness in patience. Patience is not easy, but Allah creates patience. One cannot have it unless Allah creates it.

127- Be patient. But your patience is only by Allah. Do not be grieved by them and do not be constricted by the plots they hatch.

Sorrow is a sin. Muslims must have fortitude. It is also a sin to be worried. It is a sin to feel unease in the heart. It is Allah doing it, not the other person, and He produces what is good. You are being tested. That is not all, He says. Allah creates the greatest things, the most unexpected. Traps will be set for Muslims. Snares will be laid for Hazrat Mahdi (as), but Allah tells us not to despair. Allah is with all Muslims who fear Him. He gives them means and abundance and goodness. Allah does all this. If a person says he will do this or succeed in that, the world will flee him. He will chase after them, but they will flee faster, and a sad-looking chase will ensue. He will imagine he is catching up, but the world will accelerate again. Finally, he will collapse exhausted, and the world will look on and laugh. All those who say they will do anything will be made wretched. The activity of the system of the Mahdi will not eliminate free will. Even the coming of our Prophet (saas) is hinted at in the Torah and the Gospel. Not explicitly, as that has no place in the faith. The coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) is foretold in the Torah, but we can only tell where he will come from by coded references. We can tell from the hadiths. The lack of direct understanding of the community of the Mahdi, it is now being set out explicitly, makes the work of the community of the Mahdi easier.

Surah Maryam;
83- Do you not see that We send the satans against those who are unbelievers to goad them on?

Satans will afflict Darwinists and materialists. That is what the system of the antichrists will do in the End Times. But Allah says He is doing it all. Allah makes the antichrist His instrument. They come to their bodies one by one. They cause them to call for bloodshed and oppression, for Muslims to be torn apart, for some to say there can be no Islamic Union, for some to say that matter is divine and for others to say that matter came into being spontaneously. Satan makes them say that.

94- He has counted them and numbered them precisely.

95- Each of them will come to Him on the Day of Rising all alone.

Allah says he has enfolded all the unbelievers, that their bodies and souls are under His control, that He knows their numbers and homes and everything. They will not be in vast crowds in the hereafter, nor shout slogans and behave in a spoiled manner. They will come in alone, crawling on the ground, and their eyes will be blind and blackened.

Surah Ta Ha,
10- When he saw a fire and said to his family, ‘Wait here. I can make out a fire. Maybe I will bring you a brand from it, or will find guidance there.’

He saw a fire; that means that a careful person can see an event. But careless people cannot. Since the light of faith is very sharp, the Prophet Moses (as) saw it first. Through the light of faith it will be possible to see the fire of the system of the Mahdi, not just Hazrat Mahdi (as) but also the signs of the way of the Mahdi. Millions of people did not see the shedding of blood at the Kaaba, but the Mahdi and his community and followers did. Millions of people did not see the stopping of the Euphrates, but the Mahdi and his community and followers did. Millions of people did not see the comet Lulin, but the Mahdi and his community and followers did.  They will also see the Prophet Jesus (as) through the light of faith, and the antichrist through the light of faith, and the signs of the antichrist through the light of faith. The portents of the antichrist are all around, but still they say, “there is no antichrist or system of the antichrist. And the End Times have not come.” Yet they have listed all the signs in their own books, and all the portents have come about. Indeed, they themselves do even more terrible things. But their eyes are blind, in the metaphorical sense, and they cannot see. They tell their families and loved ones. Our family is the Islamic world, and we will immediately tell the Islamic world of the signs of the Mahdi. Wait here; that means to be vigilant. He is telling us to be vigilant. Muslims must be on their guard against the antichrist. That means we must be vigilant and on our guard when something extraordinary happens. One must hope from Allah and not be proud. Maybe I will bring you a brand from the fire. Or guidance. A piece of the fire you can make use of. It is Hazrat Mahdi (as) who will be the guide by the fire. It is a reference to Hazrat Mahdi (as). Hazrat Mahdi (as) will emerge from a great fire. This is a reference to that fire, insha’Allah.
