Bediuzzaman’s expression "they will know him [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] through the light of faith” is very important. People will recognize him through their own abilities. Faith in Allah is very powerful in personal terms; for example, a brother and a child may be different in one family. One sees the evidence of Allah’s existence, while the other sees it only vaguely, or not at all. Members of a family may not take common decisions in faith, and members of the same community may not hold the same views. Some may be aware of the dajjal (antichrist), and others not. Some may recognize Hazrat Mahdi (as) and others not.
They regard Turkish-Islamic Union as if it were some really difficult ideal. They say a Black Sea Union or a Mediterranean Union is fine. If the seas can join together, why not the Islamic and Turkish world? We come from the same line and the same faith. Our forefathers and traditions and everything are the same. But they regard union as something odd. It is perfectly for Konya and Istanbul to be united. But they have so worked on people’s minds that they regard this as really hard. It is essential for the public to demand it, that they demand the groundwork. If they said “Yes” today, every state is ready for it. Nations must love one another if the people are to demand it. There is the idea of Turkishness. According to the Qur’an, that nation must be united. Allah says He creates men as different peoples. So that they should come to know one another. Unity is essential according to the Qur’an. Then we must have Turkish-Islamic Union. The Turkish nation is a courageous and virtuous one. Allah bestows leadership upon it because of that virtue. The Turkish nation is now the leader. It is the leader of the Turkish-Islamic Union. I call it the Turkish-Islamic Union because the Turkish nation is at its head.
There will be union between Azerbaijan and Turkey. We will join with the Armenians, too, if they open up the borders. You can identify those responsible for the killing and punishing them. But with those exceptions, the Armenians are an innocent people, and you cannot punish them all. Who is guilty? The people who killed. We cannot take revenge on innocent Armenians. We will watch over and protect them. We used to call them ‘The Loyal Nation’. The loyal nation. We had Armenian generals. And artists. Our people were very happy side by side. But when Darwinism, communism and fascism appeared, so did Armenian fascists. But you cannot put innocent mothers, small children and young girls, who had nothing to do with it and knew nothing about it, in the same prison cell as them. There are people in prison in Turkey, murderers and killers. But would there be any logic in someone saying the whole Turkish nation should be punished for their deeds? We have gone to war against the Greeks, but we will include them in the Turkish-Islamic Union, too. We will include Bulgaria. When our brothers went off they welcomed them with military music. Bulgaria is redolent of Ottoman things. We will also unite with Russia. We will also include them in the Turkish-Islamic Union. They also fought against the Turks. Are we really going to seek revenge for that? We will build friendship and brotherhood. The past is in the past. They used to follow an isolationist policy. Syria was an enemy, and Iraq and Iran, but we have now won them all over. We are friends with Syria. They used to regard us as enemies of Iraq, but we are now friends. We will do away with this baseness. Through the Turkish-Islamic Union we will bring them friendship and abundance.
The way of the Mahdi means love, affection, compassion, friendship and brotherhood. But the way of the antichrist means blood, perfidy and horror. You cannot expect blood and horror from Hazrat Mahdi (as). Those who expect blood from Hazrat Mahdi (as) will drown in it themselves. Allah has ruined and devastated those who espouse that idea. It is out of the question. He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. If Allah wants blood, he will drown them in it. Since Allah will rule without blood, they must realize that fact. Weapons will be eliminated in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Jesus the Messiah will eliminate weapons. So that will be it, and there will be no bloodshed. How can there be bloodshed with no weapons? Bloodshed is only possible through arms. No weapons, no bloodshed. The Prophet Joseph (as) shed no blood, either. Did the Prophet Joseph (as) come to power by shedding blood? He assumed power through his intelligence and faith and love, didn’t he? Did the Prophet Solomon (as) arrive through bloodshed? He came through love and reason. Did Dhu’lQarnayn come through bloodshed? He spilled not one drop of blood. He came through faith and intelligence. Almighty Allah does not desire bloodshed in the End Times. There will be floods of bloodshed in the time of the antichrist and Hazrat Mahdi (as), but it is the antichrist who will shed it, not Hazrat Mahdi (as). Hazrat Mahdi (as) is one of those who want to halt bloodshed. Hazrat Mahdi (as) is against bloodshed. He destroys weapons.

(The aspect of the verse referring to the End Times and the way of the Mahdi, insha’Allah)
1- When the sky bursts open,
On the Day of Reckoning the atmosphere is absorbed under the effect of an impact with other stars.
And then the blue sky, then some of the sky opens up and
appears black. Space is black. Darkness rules.
When it opens they will see the blueness has been pierced and appears black.
The sky being pierced and the stars being visible in the day time: this is a most wondrous state of affairs, one that people are unfamiliar with
2- Hearkening to its Lord as it is bound to;
It is all under Allah’s command. The time when the sky will open, how much and to what extent has all been determined.
3- When the earth is flattened out,
When the sky opens, there will also be a change in the earth. It normally has mountains, peaks and hills. But under the effect of the earthquakes, the mountains will dissolve like a mass of sand. Think of a conic mound of sugar. When you shake it, the mound flattens out. The whole of the earth will be flat like that.
4- And disgorges what is inside it and empties out,
The magma inside it. Since the crust is split open. Under the gravitational effect of the impacting stars, the Earth will depart from its orbit and pour forth magma as it approaches other stars. But a very violent disgorging. The Qur’an even refers to the seas burning. Magma and flames will pour from the sea.
5- hearkening to its Lord as it is bound to do!
It will happen just as Allah wishes. Some people imagine that matter will be unrestrained at the moment of Reckoning and will explode and fall apart spontaneously. All fragmentation and explosions are under the control of Allah. They happen by Allah’s choosing. Every atoms knows where it must go. Each atom submits in line with its own creation.
6- O Man! You are toiling laboriously towards your Lord but meet Him you will.
We are preaching and spreading Islam and praying. We are constantly active for Allah’s sake. Then you will come to Him at the end.
7- As for him who is given his Book in his right hand,
Something describing all of his life, like a cassette or something, will be placed in his right hand. An object, something small.
8- He will be given an easy reckoning,
People with knowledge of the Qur’an will understand this. In other words, when something small, like a video tape, summarizing his entire life is placed in his right hand, it means he will be saved if it is put in the right hand. We have Allah’s promise. There is no alternative. He may rejoice because it has been placed in his right hand.
9- And return to his family joyfully.
They return to their families with that joy, the joy of that object setting out their lives. To their friends and those who love them.
10- But as for him who is given his Book behind his back,
11- He will cry out for destruction,
But anyone given the object behind his back, may Allah forbid. He is doomed.
12- But will be roasted in a Searing Blaze.
A roaring fire, not a normal fire. Roaring fire is uncontrolled. Flames will rise to the sky, madly, and that is how Allah says it will happen.
13- He used to be joyful in his family (in this world).
He behaves badly and stubbornly with them. He mocks religion, may Allah forbid, and foolishly thinks he is laughing at the End Times. He makes it clear he attaches no importance to the ways of the Mahdi and the antichrist. He imagines nothing will happen, but his blood will run cold when he sees the terrible sight there.
14- He thought that he was never going to return (to his Lord).
He laughs and imagines the hereafter does not exist. He thinks he will not be resurrected.
15- But in fact his Lord was always watching him!
Allah sees his state in the discotheque, or on the internet, or on the street or in the bar. Allah says He sees his state everywhere.
16- No, I swear by the evening glow,
17- And the night and all it shrouds,
18- And the moon when it is full;
I swear by the dawn. By the dark and the things it collects together.
An eclipse of the Sun and Moon in the month of Ramadan is one of the portents of Hazrat Mahdi (as).
19- you will mount up stage by stage!
You will pass from this state into another. In other words, from the way of the antichrist to the way of the Mahdi, and from the way of the Mahdi back to the way of the antichrist. People first entered the way of the antichrist, but they are now at the second level, they are at the level of the way of the Mahdi, then they will enter the level of the way of the Messiah, and there will be global dominion, after that comes the way of the antichrist again and then the Day of Reckoning. Dawn refers to the way of the Mahdi, the rising of the Sun. Night is the way of the antichrist, darkness over Islam. First the Sun rises, and the way of the Mahdi rules, but after that comes night, and the way of the antichrist rules. What it gathers with it is strife, corruption, madness and everything.
20- What is the matter with them that they have no faith,
Why do they not believe, Allah says.
21- and, when the Qur’an is recited to them, do not prostrate?
Why do they not accept the Qur’an, Allah says. Why do they not realize? Why can they not accept it?
22- In fact those who are unbelievers say that it is lies.
They completely deny the Qur’an. The supporters of the antichrist deny the Qur’an, it says. But look, they deny the Qur’an. There is a war against the Qur’an.
23- But Allah knows best what they are storing in their hearts.
Allah says He knows them in their consciousness and subconscious. I create all things, He says.
24- Give them the news of a painful punishment –
Troubles in this world, diseases, the Day of Reckoning and the pains of the way of the antichrist, the wars of the way of the antichrist, how the way of the antichrist suffocates them and the eternal sufferings of hell.
25- except those who have faith and do right actions: they will have a wage which never fails.
They first believe in Allah, sincerely and honestly. There is no ordinary prayer, friendship or love. They honestly believe in Allah. He accepts honest prayer and fasting. He says He will bestow the endless and eternal bliss of paradise. And He says He will bestow suitable rewards in this world.
(The aspect of the verse referring to the End Times and the way of the Mahdi, insha’Allah)
1- By Heaven with its Houses of the Zodiac
We are now in the Age of Aquarius [also called Water Bearer]. Before that was Pisces. What does the Qur’an say? The fish next to the Prophet Moses (as) jumped back into the water. The age of Pisces is coming to an end. The people that came to rescue him dropped a bucket down to the Prophet Yusuf (as). Allah deliberately refers to a bucket rather than ropes or bowls or mugs. He particularly emphasized the bucket and says they pulled the Prophet Yusuf (as) out. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear in the Age of Aquarius.
2- and the promised day,
The day of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as), the time of the descent of Jesus the Messiah (as), the Day of Reckoning.
3- and the witness and the witnessed,
Who is the witness? Hazrat Mahdi (as). Who is the witnessed? All Muslims. At the same time, the people are the witness, but it is Hazrat Mahdi (as) who is witnessed. Both.
4- Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire),
5- the fire well stocked with fuel –
Petrol. For example, they are currently burning Muslims with napalm bombs, bombing them with napalm. Muslims‘ hands and faces and children are all burned. They generally destroy Muslims by burning them in the End Times. Or they burn them with bombs.
6- when they were seated right beside it
7- witnessing what they did to the believer.
For example, they have real-time communications systems when they bomb places, to determine the exact area bombed. They can watch from a distance as Muslims are bombed and incinerated. They watch the bombing and burning and incineration. Where do they watch it? On screens. I am describing the aspect that refers to the End Times.
8- only reason they punished them was because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the All-Praiseworthy –
So, you are Muslims and oppose Darwinism and materialism, and so you espouse the way of the Mahdi and the coming of the Messiah – in that case, we will incinerate you, they say. In the same way they tried to incinerate the Prophet Abraham (as). We will terrorize you, they say. They will try to incinerate Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as). They will seek to burn their followers, that is what the Qur’an suggests.
9- Him to Whom the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs. Allah is Witness of all things.
All things belong to him. They are now watching on screens, but Allah says He is also watching them. They are watching in 3-D. But Allah is watching them in 4 dimensions, or 5 dimensions. He created all the dimensions. They are under His command. He sees them all.
10- Those who persecute men and women of the believers, and then do not repent, will have the punishment of Hell, will have the punishment of the Burning.
Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be tortured. It is in the hadiths. It says the antichrist will torture Hazrat Mahdi (as). It says the more he is tortured, the more he will be widened, the more his fame will spread, in other words.
Then for those who do not repent, there is hell for them, and they will suffer a burning punishment.
Allah refers to a fire that rises to the heart.
11- But those who believe and do right actions will have Gardens with rivers flowing under them.That is the Great Victory.
They believe and act honestly. Allah refers to our longing for water. He has created a love of water in us. They always want to go to the seaside or sit by a lake. At the very least they want a water spout or a swimming pool. This is something subconscious, a longing and love for water. There are little arches everywhere in paradise, and large rivers. Paradise is full of green trees and water.
12- Your Lord’s Assault is very fierce indeed.
Allah says His assault, when it comes, will be very powerful. He says He inflicts severe punishment, that He first lets things go, but that when He finally attacks He does so very fiercely.
13- He originates and regenerates.
He first creates and then resurrects. He first creates us, then kills us and then resurrects us. He says it is He Who will later create.
14- He is the Ever-Forgiving, the All-Loving,
Allah loves to love. He is very loving. That is why He has imparted the ability to love in our souls. We have a powerful, subconscious force for love and being loved. We are always under its influence. The power that Allah creates in our subconscious He installs in the soul as faith. Allah is He Who teaches us to love and be loved.
Allah says He wants us to forgive, rather than seek revenge. It is sufficient that Muslims should be forgiving.
15- the Possessor of the Throne, the All-Glorious,
He is the Lord of the whole universe. This verse also refers to the time of Sultan Abdulmajit.
16- Doer (without let) of all that He intends.
17- Has the story reached you of the legions
Allah is the Lord of all armies.
18- of Pharaoh and Thamud?
19- Yet those who are unbelievers insist on their denial
They constantly engage in denial. You talk about the invalidity of Darwinism and materialism, but they still lie. You say that Allah does exist, but they deny it. They always take the opposite line. Allah refers to armies. All armies, apart from the army of truth, wreak devastation. It is armies that are not the army of truth that wreak corruption and strife and shed blood. Like the Chinese Army, Hitler’s Army or Mussolini’s army.
20- while Allah is encircling them from behind.
He says that all identities are under His control.
21- It is indeed a Glorious Qur’an
22- preserved on a Tablet.
Allah says the Qur’an was created infinitely long ago. The Qur’an existed before our Prophet (saas) left his mother’s womb. The Qur’an existed long before his forebear, the Prophet Abraham (as).
We will establish the Masjid of Sulayman. I do not understand why that should upset anyone. The Prophet Solomon (as) is a prophet of Allah and his home is a masjid. Muslims’ homes are masjids. Our Prophet’s (saas) and the place he was in was a masjid. They misunderstand out of ignorance. The Prophet Solomon (as) used to pray there, and remember Allah and talk about Islam. It is where the Prophet Solomon (as) spent his life, where Muslims prayed. We will rebuild that masjid. It will happen, insha’Allah.
65- They found a servant of Ours whom We had granted mercy from Us and whom We had also given knowledge direct from Us.
Mercy is something entirely separate. Allah's name of the ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim. Mercy embraces all things. Allah also treats Jews and Christians and everyone with mercy. Mercy seeks to save them all. It wants them all to be good, insha’Allah. Allah says he has granted mercy and given knowledge, and that means that Allah teaches all knowledge. All. They found a servant of Ours. I have said this before. The abjad (numerological calculation) value is exactly 2010.
66- Moses said to him, ‘May I follow you on condition that you teach me some of the right guidance you have been taught?’
But what is the true path? It is the Qur’an, It means he knows he is on the true path and will defend the truth. He knows at that moment he will act in line with the True Book. What you have been taught. Who teaches? Allah. And he knows that Allah teaches. May I follow you as my teacher? Can I be your student? Hazrat Khidr (as) says:
67- He said, ‘You will not be able to bear with me.
So looking at our own century, you do not have the strength needed to be a follower of Hazrat Mahdi (as). So it will be very hard for you to demonstrate such an ability. Because Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) external appearance will have different effects on people, insha’Allah.
68- indeed could you bear with patience something you have not encompassed in your knowledge?’
That means it is the essence of a thing that matters. One must concentrate on the essence. You cannot do what is essential if you concentrate on and bog people down in superficialities. Allah makes His show, He bases His actions on what is essential. Could you bear with patience something you have not encompassed in your knowledge? In other words, you will look superficially. You cannot see the profundity or the essence, so you will reject it, you will deny it, you cannot accept it, you will oppose it, he says. This also applies to Hazrat Mahdi (as).
69- Moses said, ‘You will find me patient, if Allah wills, and I will not disobey you in any matter.’
Insha’Allah, this is something all the prophets knew. By Allah’s leave, insha’Allah. Muslims were not the first to say it, insha’Allah. The Prophet Moses (as) also said it, and the Prophet Abraham (as). An ignorant bunch of people will oppose Hazrat Mahdi (as) every step of the way, since they do not understand.
70- He said, ‘Then if you follow me, do not question me about anything until I myself make mention of it to you.’
He says that when he describes the position he will do so in essentials, but that he must be patient until then.
71- They continued...
The most effective technique is two-person dialogue. One loses concentration when a third party joins in. This is the most effective means of talking and describing matters. One on one. Insha’Allah.
....... until they boarded a boat and he scuppered it. Then Moses said, ‘Did you scupper it so that its owners would be drowned? This is truly a dreadful thing that you have done!’
They came to a place by the sea. Where did they first come to? The coast. Where does Hazrat Mahdi (as) come to? Istanbul. Where two seas meet. Look, see what the verse is referring to? A boat. The sea.
until they boarded a boat and he scuppered it. Then Moses said, ‘Did you scupper it so that its owners would be drowned? This is truly a dreadful thing that you have done!’
And he says that he did something really awful. He says he has sinned. He chooses his words very carefully. He would normally say that he has sinned according to the Torah. But he does not say it. He just says he was amazed at what he did. Since he knew he was on the true path. This is a requirement of hidden knowledge. To portray something as weak, or the weak as strong when necessary. Both are requirements of secret knowledge.
72- He said, ‘Did I not say that you would not be able to bear with me?’
Because that is his destiny. It was ordained that the Prophet Moses (as) would be unable to bear it even before he was born. The Qur’an existed before Hazrat Khidr (as). It was ordained in the Qur’an what Hazrat Moses (as) would do. It was known that he would not be able to tolerate any of these things. We read that it was ordained he would be unable to bear them. Hazrat Khidr (as) was a man traveling in his time. He also travels to the time of the Prophet Abraham (as), and to the past. He can travel to all times. He knows this feature of the Prophet Moses (as) revealed in the Qur’an. He knows he will be unable to bear any of these. That is why he speaks so certainly. Because Allah has ordained it. Allah says he will be unable to bear them. And since he knows this for certain, he says he cannot bear them. He does not equivocate or say maybe. That can be seen in his words. He says in the verse that you cannot bear it in any way. He speaks with certainty. Because he knows destiny. Because he knows the Prophet Moses’ (as) destiny and the response he will give.
He said, ‘Did I not say that you would not be able to bear with me?’
He says he warned him before.
73- Moses said, ‘Do not take me to task because I forgot. Do not demand of me something which is too difficult.’
Who made him forget? Allah. The Prophet Moses (as) is very determined with regard to knowledge. He is determined to learn hidden knowledge and will not forego it. Other might people might let it go at that. That means that determination and persistence are qualities of a believer. He will not abandon knowledge, no matter what the cost.
74- So they went on until they met a youngster whom he killed. Moses said, ‘Have you killed a boy who has done no wrong, without it being in retaliation for someone else? This is truly an appalling thing that you have done!’
Look, they always arrive together.
This time he speaks very openly, saying he has done an appalling thing. He says he has committed murder. You have done an appalling thing. He will be destroyed for that, because he knows the law, under the law of the Torah. The other party was guiltless. He had no guilt. So you killed him for no reason, he says. He swears that he has done an appalling thing. Yet he had earlier promised not to raise any objections.
75- He said, ‘Did I not tell you that you would not be able to bear with me?’
Since this has come by revelation there is no alternative path. But the Prophet Moses (as) does not know this. Hazrat Hizir (as) does know, however. He is not surprised because he knows. But the Prophet Moses is stunned. He says he has done an appalling thing. But there is nothing here to say that Hazrat Hizir (as) is taken aback. He knows when and at what stage he will depart. He is totally sure of himself.
76- Moses said, ‘If I ask you about anything after this, then you should no longer keep me company. I will have given you excuse enough.’
He says he will no longer ask him anything about this. He says he will now accept the situation. But of course he cannot help continuing to object. He does it every time.
77- So they went on…
Their traveling as a pair is highly significant. The Qur’an lays great stress on pairs. Almighty Allah stresses them in the Qur’an, insha’Allah.
Until they reached the inhabitants of a town
A place like a township. A town, but not a city.
The people of the town were unwilling to put them up.
People will also be unwilling to play host to Hazrat Mahdi (as). Hazrat Mahdi (as) will also appear from a small town. And the people will be unwilling to play host to him. They will not want Hazrat Mahdi (as)…
There they found a wall about to fall down,
As if there were a wall about to fall down where the Masjid of Solomon stands. They even say the al-Aqsa Mosque could fall down at any moment. They say they lower part could collapse because of all the digging and excavation work going on beneath it. The verse says the wall is “about to fall down.” They are only saying that about the al-Aqsa Mosque now, that it is about to fall down. Everyone is saying that. And the al-Aqsa Mosque is of vital importance to Muslims. They found a wall. There is a wall there, too, the Wailing Wall. He immediately repaired it. That is what Hazrat Mahdi (as) will do. He will rebuild the Masjid of Solomon.
Moses said, ‘If you had wanted, you could have taken a wage for doing that.’
He is again speaking empty words. It is ordained in his destiny that he will do this. If you had wanted, you could have taken a wage for doing that. Yet a Muslim acts for Allah’s approval. And since he did that for Allah’s approval he demanded no fee. When the Prophet Moses (as) went and watered the sheep, did he ask for money from the women? No. Did anyone ask why he had not asked for a fee? No. Why not? Because he did it for love of Allah. When his mother placed him in that little chest and let the water take him away, did she did do it in order to kill him? Under normal circumstances a mother who abandoned her baby to a river inside a tiny chest would be charged with attempting to murder the child. The child would in all likelihood die. Imagine the child tried to stand up. It would fall into the water. There is no alternative. If he stands up, he will fall out. Did his mother put him there to kill him? No, she did it to save him. So why did Hazrat Khidr (as) put a hole in the boat? To save others. It is the same knowledge from the Mind of Allah. It is Allah Who does it. He killed a man. He struck him and he died. It was in his destiny. He killed him because Allah so commanded. Why did Hazrat Khidr (as) kill him? It was his destiny. They did not ask the Prophet Moses (as) why he killed. And there was no need for Hazrat Khidr (as) to be questioned there. He encountered parallel events, parallel events that Allah created. He was not interrogated about any of them, but he still questioned Hazrat Khidr (as).
78- He said, ‘This is where you and I part company. I will let you know the explanation of those things about which you were not able to restrain yourself.
The Day of Reckoning will come after Hazrat Khidr, Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as), and he will then depart. It is the time for parting. The time has come for Hazrat Khidr (as) to leave. That is a feature of the End Times.
I will let you know the explanation of those things about which you were not able to restrain yourself.
Hazrat Khidr (as) says he will not explain the wisdom behind them all.
79- As for the boat, it belonged to some poor people who worked on the sea. I wanted to damage it because a king was coming behind them, commandeering every boat.
Verse 79 refers to 1979. It refers to a ship burning in 1979 and Istanbul being lit up as if it were broad daylight. The time when that ship burned, 1979, was when anarchy and fanaticism, and despotism were at their height – he speaks of a king commandeering every boat. It was when tyranny was at its peak. That is what the Qur’an is referring to.
80- As for the boy, his parents were believers and we feared that he would darken their days with excessive insolence and unbelief.
When Hazrat Khidr (as) saw that he was someone who would harm Hazrat Mahdi (as) he went and killed him. In other words, if he believes that someone will hinder Turkish-Islamic Union and harm Hazrat Mahdi (as), and I am telling this as a secret, Hazrat Khidr (as) will kill that person. And nobody can find him. It is impossible because he is a metaphysical entity. You cannot find him.
81- We wanted their Lord to give them in exchange a purer son than him, one more compassionate.
The killing of the antichrist. The killing of the boy refers to the killing of the antichrist. The way of the antichrist will be killed off while it is still in its infancy. It will be killed off before it has time to infest and ruin the world.
1981 is also the date of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as). He is more auspicious in times of purity and compassion. Purity and compassions are two of the attributes of Hazrat Mahdi (as).
A purer son comes instead. Bediüzzaman says that 1981 will be the end of the way of the antichrist, of denial, and that is the date of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as).
82- As for the wall, it belonged to two young orphans Two orphans.
The Prophet Jesus (as) will have no parents. And Hazrat Mahdi (as) has no father, he is an orphan. Two orphans, the Prophet Jesus (as) and Hazrat Mahdi (as). The wall is theirs. In other words, both will pray in the Masjid of Solomon, at the al-Aqsa Mosque. This is explicitly set out in the hadiths. Under it was treasure belonging to them; there may be relics belonging to the Prophet Solomon (as) under the Masjid, the al-Aqsa Mosque. Israel is searching night and day. They have dug tunnels there day and night. They know it is there. They got that from the Qur’an. So they have examined the Qur’an. They know it is there. There are so mnay tunnels beneath it. There is a danger of it collapsing. That is why there is a danger of the al-Aqsa Mosque collapsing. They have left no stone unturned, but they have not found it. Because Allah gives a detail, He says that angels are bearing it up. They never thought of that. How can you find something being carried by angels? You cannot. They will carry it from one place to another. You go where you think you will find it, and they carry it off somewhere else. That is why they cannot find it. They will never find it. It is Hazrat Mahdi (as) who will find it. And I will say where it is, it is there, insha’Allah. By the law of Allah, it is there.
Their father was one of the righteous.
This refers to the Prophet Abraham (as). The Qur’an says that the Prophet Ibrahim (as) is immaculate and pure. Both are descended from the Prophet Ibrahim (as), Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as).
Your Lord wanted them to come of age.
In other words, for the relevant time to come. That age is the age of adulthood. The End Times, in other words. This is the age mentioned by the Prophet (saas) in the hadiths and by Bediuzzaman when he refers to an age one century after his own time.
And then to unearth their treasure;
These sacred relics. Allah says there is peace and calm there. When they see it, Muslims will all calm down. They will be 100% convinced. This includes all the sacred relics. The Ark of the Covenant of the Prophet Solomon (as) will be found, and the original tablets of the Torah, stoned, carved tablets.
As a mercy from Him.
The beginning of the story refers to “a mercy from Us” in verse 65. What does Almighty Allah say in verse 82” “As a mercy from Him." This is a blessing from Allah because of His love for you and desire to protect you, and it is a great miracle. There is no question of its being sought and not found. Look, the state of Israel is looking for the Ark of the Covenant. It has dredged Lake Tiberias. It has searched it with magnetic imaging. They have used treasure seeking equipment, but not a trace has been found. They should have found it, since it is made of metal. The Ark is made of gold and should give off echoes. But they have not found it. They looked for it in Antioch (Antakya), but could not find it there, either. They will not find it.
to unearth their treasure as a mercy from Him. I did not do it of my own volition.
He says he did it through revelation
That is the explanation of the things about which you were not able to restrain yourself.’
Immediately after this comes a verse that reads “They will ask you about Dhu’l-Qarnayn.” Dhu’l-Qarnayn who rules the east and west of the world, both sides. The east and west of the world. At the same time, insha’Allah.
They will ask you about Dhu’l-Qarnayn. Say: ‘I will tell you something about him.’
Almighty Allah then speaks of global dominion. Surat al-Kahf describes how a small group of followers left their families and migrated. A small group of followers living all together. Then comes the secret knowledge of Hazrat Khidr (as) and his exclusion by people. We see how they keep away from him. Then comes global dominion. Surat al-Kahf is all about the way of the Mahdi (as). Fethullah Hodja [Fethullah Gulen] spoke of this in his own time, around 1979. You can hear him on tapes and cassettes. He explicitly says that Surat al-Kahf is all about the way of the Mahdi. The great majority of religious scholars say it. Our Prophet (saas) tells us to read Surat al-Kahf when the antichrist appears. What does that mean? The answer is there. What does that mean? It means that Surat al-Kahf speaks of the way of the Mahdi.
• Those who live by hate will be defeated. Those who live by love will be victorious. Those who live by compassion will be victorious. Those who live by affection will be victorious. You will see. Those who live by hate will drown in their blood.
He will capture Konstantiniyye and Mount Deylem. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar, p. 24)
He will spiritually capture Istanbul. Istanbul will become a lovely place, redolent of Islam.
After filling the earth will justice he will appoint Kahtani as commander and he will attend to those tasks. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar p. 24)
This means that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be their commander in chief. There will be other important people he loves and values. He will not occupy himself with affairs of state, but will appoint commanders. He will be occupied with those main issues, the essential knowledge. He will not occupy himself with the details. He will give those to his commanders.
Jesus (as) will appear from the sky and will admit his leadership. He will say to Jesus (as) “Lead us in prayer.” But he will reply, “the command is yours.” “This is Allah’s gift to the Community of Muhammad” he will say. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar, p. 24)
That is what Allah wishes. It is Allah’s revelation. Allah’s gift to you, the Imam, is Muhammad Mahdi from the Qureysh, from the people of Adnan, he will say.
...The Mahdi’s father is one of the Qureysh. Had it been so desired I could recount his line right to the end, because Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be the last of Islam. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar p. 25)
He says he knows them all right to his most distant forefather. We are now learning his lineage with scientific methods. He says he knows through the revelation of our Prophet (saas) and can list them all. Islam will come to an end with Hazrat Mahdi (as). Sungur says the same thing. He says we have 70 years. But some so-called intellectuals say we have 300 years.
The prophet Jesus (as) will appear in such a form it will sem as if water is dripping from his hair, and Hzrat Mahdi (as) will say to him, “O Jesus, pass to the front and lead us in prayer.” But the Prophet Jesus (as) will say, “The call was made for you” and he will pray behind one of my offspring. (Ibn Hajar al-Haythami, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntadhar, p. 25)
Our prophet (saas) says that the Prophet (saas) will appear as if water were dripping from his hair. He says when he first appears it will be as if he had just stepped from the shower. This is a very important sign. It is a miracle for someone to seem as if he has just washed when he has not, for him to have washed where there is no water. Where did he wash? He must have washed in the Presence of Allah to have looked like that when he arrived. Because he says “as if.” “As if water were dripping” he says. This is a miracle. The Prophet (saas) refers to Hazrat Mahdi (as) as one of his offspring. Who will rule the world? One of my offspring, he says. In other words, he says I will rule. Our prophet (saas) or one of his descendants. A part of the Prophet (saas). He keeps saying that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is one of his children. He says he does not want them to set one against the other, to establish some kind of foolish competition, may Allah forbid. He speaks of his child in order to prevent that. Some people say, “How can Hazrat Mahdi (as) ever rule if never becomes a prophet?” Our Prophet (saas) speaks of his offspring in order to prevent people saying that. He says his rule is the same as mine.
