“Hazrat Abu Huraira relates: "The Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "The Day of Reckoning will not come until there is war with a people whose shoes are made of bristle. The Day of Reckoning will not come until you fight a people whose faces are like shields of bristle, whose eyes are small and noses flat.” (Bukhari, Jihad 95, 96, Manâkıb 25; Muslim, al-Fitan 62, (2912); Abu Dawud, al-Malahim 9, (4303, 4304); Tirmidhi, al-Fitan 40, (2216); Nasai, Jihad 42, (6, 45))

•  “A people whose shoes are made of bristle…” These are something that had happened before. Muslims have fought against a people whose shoes were made of bristle. And Muslims destroyed those people; the corruption of Genghis Khan and Hulagu. They shed much blood. This is a reference to that great event. They went as far as Baghdad. They destroyed and burned everywhere. They burned Muslims’ libraries and works of art. There was terrible devastation. They slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people. There was dreadful killing. Our Prophet (saas) cites this as a portent of the Day of Reckoning as it is such a major event. It happened hundreds of years before the coming of the Mahdi (as). That is really how they were; their shoes were of bristle, their faces were covered, like shields, their eyes were small and their noses flat. They shed blood like Gog and Magog, they were a terrible scourge. The corruption of Genghis Khan and Hulagu. A well known event. That is what this hadith refers to.

• I said they would produce Osama bin Laden as a false mahdi and that some naive people would follow him. They would say the Mahdi had appeared. Then they would kill him in a terrible way. And after that they would say, “We have slain your Mahdi. That means that neither the Mahdi (as) nor the Prophet Jesus (as) nor Islamic Union exists. Forget such things.” It happened just like I said it would.

• Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Armenia and all of them will unite. We will bring all the Turkic states together and establish a giant Turkish-Islamic Union.

And when Jesus came with the Clear Signs, he said, ‘I have come to you with Wisdom and to clarify for you some of the things about which you have differed. Therefore have fear of Allah and obey me. (Surat az-Zukhruf, 63)

• He will say the same thing when he comes, insha’Allah. What will he say? What are the clear signs? The Qur’an. He will come with the Qur’an. He will say, “I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify for you some of the things about which you have differed.” They will have fallen out among themselves. They split into groups and adopted very wrong ideas, didn’t they? “To clarify for you some of the things about which you have differed. Allah is my Lord and your Lord so worship Him.This is a straight path.”    

• He will call all Christians to monotheistic belief. They will say that Allah is One, insha’Allah. “The various factions among them differed. Woe then to those who did wrong on account of the punishment of a painful Day!”

• Allah then immediately speaks of the Day of Reckoning. They will again fall out. Allah says they will again stray from the truth. “What are they waiting for, but the Hour to come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it?” Look, He is speaking about Jesus (as). After that He speaks of the portents of the Day of Reckoning.

SURAT AZ-ZUKHRUF 24- 31

Say: ‘What if I have come with better guidance than what you found your fathers following?’They say, ‘We reject what you have been sent with.’

In other words, what if I have come with the greatest truth?

They say, ‘We reject what you have been sent with.’

They say they are opposed to it. They will oppose the way of the Mahdi with the same system.

So We took revenge on them.   And see the final fate of the deniers!

Allah takes revenge on them, but they are unaware. He constantly takes revenge on those who persist in immorality, but they are unaware of it.

“Abraham said to his father and people, ‘I am free of everything you worship.”

Look, the Prophet Abraham (as) was by himself the Mahdi of his time. Everyone, even his father, was against him. This is what the Qur’an is saying; When a follower of the Mahdi or the way of the Mahdi appears, their families will oppose the followers of the Mahdi. Their parents may be against them, and their brothers. The way of the Mahdi is hard. That is what the Qur’an seeks to explain, insha’Allah.

When Abraham said to his father and his people,     ‘I am free of everything you worship,

I do not share your beliefs.

except for Him Who brought me into being, Who will certainly guide me,’

What does a guide mean? It is the way of the Mahdi, insha’Allah. It will lead to happiness. “..Who will certainly guide me, .. He made it an on-going word among his descendants so that perhaps they might turn back”(to Allah).

The abjad (numerological) value of the verse gives a date of 1999. "He made it an on-going word among his descendants", who comes from his line? Hazrat Mahdi (as). Who is Hazrat Mahdi (as) descended from? The Prophet Abraham (as).

I let those people and their forefathers enjoy themselves.

The abjad value of the verse is 2015.

until the truth came to them and a Messenger to make it clear.

They will strive against him. Against the Mahdi of the time. The same thing is happening now. Our brothers say; “we talk about the way of the Mahdi, but they do not listen or else are hostile.” What way of the Mahdi can there be if they all listen and are not hostile? They have to resist in order for the way of the Mahdi to be. If everyone believes everything about it, then there can be no way of the Mahdi. The way of the Mahdi has to have opposition. Hazrat Mahdi (as) crushes opposition (intellectually). He is one who is opposed but crushes opposition with knowledge. No opposition means no Mahdi. The way of the dajjal (antichrist) will resist, the ignorant will resist, but he will tell the truth and crush that opposition (with learning), insha’Allah. Then the bigots will say;

They say, ‘Why was this Qur’an not sent down to one of the great men of the two cities?’

What are the two great cities in Turkey? Istanbul and Ankara. They deny our Prophet’s (saas) prophethood. How can Abu Kasim’s orphan be a prophet? They ask. They say there are scholars and teachers, and he should come from among them. They say he cannot read and write. What do the ignorant people of today say? What does our Prophet (saas) say in the hadith? Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not know Arabic. “So how can he be the Mahdi?” they ask. Whoever Allah so wishes will be the Mahdi.
