Surat Al-Ma'ida, 87 (Hypocrites make unlawful what Allah has made lawful)

Surat Al Ma'ida, (5/87) (bigotry is a feature of hypocrites)

Verses from Surat al-Furqan referring to the End Times and their abjad values

Learning From The Quran

Having fun is not illegitimate or unlawful by religion, it is perfectly permissible.

What are the things Muslims should be very attentive about? They should be attentive about lawful and unlawful acts, they should love Allah deeply, they should constantly praise Allah, they should constantly keep their hearts with Allah. What would that bring? There is a secret here. Allah says "you will then be at ease."

Declaring lawful things as unlawful is going beyond limits. Asking for religiously unlawful things when you have plenty of religiously lawful blessings would also be going beyond limits.

Those who try to render what is halal and the beauties of Islam as haram

If music were to be unlawful by religion, Allah would have declared it in the Qur'an. The lawful and unlawful acts by religion are defined only in the Qur'an.

Allah warns His faithful servants not to make those lawful blessings unlawful for themselves

According to the mindset that condemns those who do not pray to death, music, rhythm, aesthetics are unlawful. These are cruel explanations that are added to the religion of Islam. The reason why Evangelicals reveal Muslims as Gog and Magog are these explanations.

New Statements by Mr. Adnan Oktar (8 March 2013)

Religion is very pure and simple. One should have good morals, one should be loving and sincere. Lawful deeds are defined anyway. There are many lawful acts, they are boundless. Unlawful deeds on the other hand are very few. They are defined in the Qur'an as well. One needs to keep away from them and that is it. You would be a good person, a loving person who submits himself to Allah, a person who loves Allah very much. You should not be wooly minded, you should just be honest.

In some hadith, many blessings that are lawful are rendered unlawful.

People should not be made to experience fear. Only fear of Allah should be left in them. All fears are religiously unlawful. Only the fear of Allah is lawful and is a religious obligation. Other than the fear of Allah all fears are religiously unlawful.

Our Prophet (saas) can not render a deed, which is lawful in the Qur'an, unlawful.

Prohibitions in Islam could be counted with the fingers of a hand, yet if you try to count the halals (permissible acts) in Islam, your lifetime would not suffice to do so. The prohibitions in Islam are very few and easily be counted with the fingers of a hand. Yet halals are endless.

Unlawful things in Islam can be counted on the fingers of one hand, while a whole lifetime is not enough to count the lawful things (21.06.2013)

Our brothers ask if it is wrong to have long hair or tattoos. (13.07.2013)

Radicals are very inclined to announce many food and jewelry as religiously unlawful even though God deemed them lawful in the Qur'an. In the verses God asks; "I am the One Who creates all jewelries, who have made those unlawful for you."

New Statements by Mr. Adnan Oktar (14 September 2013)

Fanatics want the religion to be difficult; God, on the other hand, wants ease for His servants (16.10.2013)

God would give trouble upon those who make the things God deemed lawful, unlawful.

Muslims look for difficulty when there is so much that is lawful and easy (07.10.2013)

Examples from the Qur’an concerning men and women being present in the same environment (06.11.2013)

God has made illicit relations between men and women unlawful, not their being present in the same place

When one remains aloof from the Qur'an, the wisdom goes away, that person's attitudes become unwholesome, they no longer pay attention to what is religiously lawful and what is not and they become unstable. But if one abides by the Qur'an, his mind settles, his works go well, an abundance comes upon him, a radiance, a pleasantness, a blessing settles upon him. That is why holding on to the Qur'an tightly is very important.

Radicals have laid such a heavy burden on Muslims; so much so that they have driven Muslims almost mad. They are unable to turn right or left, it is forbidden to laugh, it is forbidden to talk to women. God wants us to laugh; He wants us to be joyous. Why do you hurt them in vain? They are inventing prohibitions on their own. Laugh; laugh as ever you like, wander around as ever you like, put up the pictures you like at your home, put up statues, let young girls put on make up as ever they like, let them be well-groomed; let young men dance and have fun. These are all lawful and permitted according to the Qur'an.

All the beauties of life are in religion; there is music, there is fun, there is joy, there is love. Religion covers the whole of life and makes all those religiously lawful. There are very few religiously unlawful acts. Religiously lawful acts on the other hand are innumerable.

Prophets would never come up with additional lawful and unlawful acts on their own accord if they are not defined in the Qur'an. There is an explicit verse in the Qur'an about this.

Our Prophet (saas) learned what is unlawful from the Qur'an. There is no unlawful or lawful apart from what is in the Qur'an. The Companions asked our mother Hazrat Aisha (ra) "What is the sunnah of Rasulullah?" And she replied "the Qur'an." So do not invent things. Lawful and unlawful acts are only defined by the Qur'an.

Mahdi's facilitating and easing of religion means his removing unlawful acts that are not defined by the Qur'an. For instance, is music unlawful? No: There is no such verse in the Qur'an. He will explain to those who claim that music is unlawful that it is lawful.

Bigots want to render Islam the religion of grave

The things demanded by the Qur'an are only a few: Performing prayers is explained very briefly in the Qur'an, fasting is explained very briefly and giving alms is explained very briefly. God commands us to be merciful, compassionate, to avoid telling lies, to be true. He commands us to have good intentions and to love one another, to love God a lot; to be of help to one another and to avoid worldly ambitions for goods because everything belongs to God. The commands in the Qur'an are very few. The rest is all about the foulness of the unbelievers, the impertinent behavior of the unbelievers, of the people of heresy and the responses given to them.

Islam is a religion that could be widespread in a very short period of time, one that the whole world would love. Islam is not spread because of the repulsiveness of radical men and women; they never talk about love. They have sinister faces. They know nothing about arts, about beauty, about aesthetics. However, what God wants is simple: He says, "Live in this world with peace, full of love, being friendly and brotherly, worshiping Me and loving Me, being careful about what is lawful and what is unlawful so that I will give you plentitude and abundance."

All the Prophets and Mahdis that have been sent have increased the number of religiously lawful acts and decreased the unlawful acts. But idolaters have always increased the number of unlawful acts and decreased the number of lawful acts. The fact is, however, the number of lawful acts are very high in the true religion.

We cannot search for all those acts that are lawful in the Qur'an. Only the unlawful acts can be searched for in the Qur'an. That is because the number of unlawful acts is very few. When there is a proof in the Qur'an for something being unlawful, there is nothing further to discuss . But if there is no command in the Qur'an proving that something is unlawful, nothing can be banned based on superstitions.

Music is lawful by religion, paintings are lawful, having fun is lawful, sculpture is lawful. I mean, lawful things are innumerable. Things that are forbidden by religion are concisely defined in the Qur'an and they are very few. God says, 'I have deemed everything other than those lawful for you.' How do you come up with all those forbidden acts on your own?

Where is the verse in the Qur'an that deems music unlawful? Where is the verse in the Qur'an that deems paintings unlawful? What gave you that idea? There is no such ban in the Qur'an. Consequently, by doing so, you have created a hell for yourself. You have made lawful things unlawful and you hope that you will be given a beautiful reward in the Hereafter. May God protect you from Hell. Coming up with prohibitions in the name of God means ascribing partners to God.

Why are you pushing for difficulty? There is music in Islam, there are arts. You can laugh and have fun, you can dance as you like and perform your prayers as well. Then you can go travel and swim if you like. Killing every aspect of social life has no place in Islam. You deem all lawful things unlawful. God has given all those to you as blessings, and by wiping out these blessings, you are struggling against the religion of God.
