The Qur'an informs us about what is auspicious and what is beneficial. The most beneficial thing to do is to strive to save the Hereafter of people and to give an intellectual struggle on the way of Allah. Or else it is not to become a businessman and to found holdings and operate touristic facilities and keep one's self with trade as some people claim. This is a highly insincere approach. Happiness comes with faith.
If a person is in disbelief, everything he does would be a malice for him. He eats food and that becomes malicious for him; he goes out to the streets and that becomes malicious for him; whatever he does brings about malice. There would be no benevolence for him. If a person is sincere and devout, if he has a clean heart, there would be goodness in everything he does.
Sometimes God gives a rank to some people, gives them power, gives them means. You would not be a person of guidance if you say, "Why did God give him such a rank? Why did He give that person that easiness?" A person who -May God forbid - questions God would not be a person of guidance. One should say, "There is a goodness, a benevolence behind this. God knows but I don't."
The thing you want might be bad for you but you would not know. You persistently want it to happen but actually that might be bad for you. There is goodness in it if God does not grant you your wish. Some people freak out when they are not given what they ask for. It may be that it will bring you troubles if you are given what you have asked for, and God is protecting you by not giving it to you.
