It is easy to persuade an intelligent person, it is easy to address his conscience. I mean such a person would not act tactless. An intelligent person would be reasonable. It is a great blessing that such a person cannot act remorseless. A wise person cannot run over his conscience, I mean he acts in line with his conscience. You hear beautiful words from him because he is conscientious. Such a person's beauty would mean something. Otherwise beauty has no meaning. That is because all there is left behind would be flesh and bones. And they have no meaning in that sense.
Lovelessness has stopped consciousness. When consciousness stops, so would economy. People have lost their enthusiasm, their excitement. They became strangers to each other. They do not have affection, they do not have friendship. When this is the case, pains, troubles and torments pervade in the World. The only thing that could be done against that, is to ask Allah for the appearance of the Prophet Jesus Messiah (pbuh), for the appearance of the Mahdi (pbuh).
Rationality is important for people. Their minds should see a fact and their heart should approve. Mind and heart should have the same strength. They should act together. If you do not use mind, only the approval of the heart would lead to weakness in faith. Strong faith, ascertained faith, ayn al-yaqin (eye of certainty) faith would be very strong.
The minds of unhappy people become damaged. Faithlessness leads to unhappiness, unhappiness leads to faithlessness. This is an interlocked system. Unhappiness attracts faithlessness. Actually Allah wants Muslims to be happy. Allah approves happiness. Bigots on the other hand constantly encourage crying
The quality of a person lies in his/her cleanliness. Filth and dirtiness is the greatest sign of lack of quality. It shows that person's lack of common sense. How could a reasonable person not be disturbed by dirt? How could such a person not be uncomfortable about something that is sordid? If he/she is not uncomfortable that indicates a problem. Such a person cannot talk of quality. Such a person does not have any depth.
God is the One Who creates wisdom and wisdom is created every single moment. It has a constant flow, it does not remain stagnant inside the brain. People presume that wisdom can be preserved as if it is put inside a cube; actually that is not true. It is completely empty inside the brain. Wisdom constantly flows like a river, it is made to flow by God.
God would take away the foresight and perception of a person who is stealthy, skeptical, dark, ill-intentioned, dishonest, one that has malice in his heart, one who does not want the goodness of others, one who does not feel any inclination towards love in his heart. Such a person would start making incoherent movements. His glances would become distorted, his speech would become distorted, his reasoning would become disrupted. God would put obstacles in front of him and bring about exiguousness.
The Qur'an is interpenetrated with reason. The Qur'an equals reason, reason equals the Qur'an. The Qur'an is pure reason. It is the guide, the way to be reasonable. One would become reasonable with the Qur'an. It is not possible in any way other than the Qur'an. One might be intelligent but cannot be clever and reasonable without it.
We find reason and wisdom with the Qur'an. There is the mindset of communism, the mindset of fascism, there is the mindset of the Qur'an and there is a psychopathic mindset. All those have their own logic. But what should be understood from wisdom, from reason is different: we call a consistent person who has mercy, compassion, reason stemming from the Qur'an and who acts with his good conscience a reasonable, wise person.
The Qur'an is very pure and simple. There are repetitions in almost more than half of the Quran. That is for people to grasp the meaning very well. Consequently God explains us the orderly and simple rules of reason in the Qur'an. Implementing all that are explained in the Qur'an would make us very reasonable and very coherent.
Intelligence looks very good on women. I mean that intelligent expression in their eyes. For instance, a woman who gazes with birdlike, empty eyes loses all her glory, all her splendor. If one doesn't have such a genuine problem with her mind, it is such witlessness for a woman to accept such an appearance.
Love is something that widens as one uses his mind. It develops in proportion to one's mind. For instance, you act loyally and the love you receive increases. You show compassion and the love you receive increases. You act patiently and the love you receive increases. You protect and watch over others, the love you receive increases. You think deeply and act considerate, the love you receive increases. You talk kindly and it increases; you refrain from telling lies and it increases. You constantly act honestly and it increases. You constantly approach others warmly with good intentions and it increases. One would detest the other if he sees anything contrary.
Women are very much affected by intellect and faith. That is what a woman looks for in a man and a man looks for that in a woman as well. This is not something about flesh and bones; there are very beautiful women but you cannot feel love for them if they are dishonorable. You cannot love them if they are unkind. You cannot love them if they are ungracious. You cannot love them if they are perfidious, egotistic, selfish. You cannot love them if they are unable to think freely and sincerely.
Using one's wit means being in sincere connection with God and trying to see the signs of God knowing in which points Satan would distort one's mind, without getting agitated. That is because God is the One Who leads the mind. One would differentiate the wrong and the dangerous when one abides by his conscience; God inspires him, God makes him feel what the right choice is.
The first affliction that comes upon a person when he does not act by his good conscience is the loss of his mind. Such a person would lose his mind. Would he be aware of his situation? No, he won't be aware: That is because he would be left to his intelligence alone, so he cannot understand his situation. His mind would be lost and he would be left to his intelligence alone. God generally does not take away one's intelligence, but He takes away his mind. Except for some rare occasions, God does not take away one's intelligence. However when God takes away one's mind, his intelligence would no longer have any use for him. His intelligence would only get him into troubles from then on. Intelligence would make him grovel.
Let there be freedom, let there be democracy. Let everyone strive for that with all their might. That is because wisdom, the arts and science develops in a free environment. Under the pressure of a state, wisdom will be atrophied. People would not have power of understanding. There would be no artists, no scientists. Industry atrophies, people lose their eagerness to work.
First, one party should approach things with good sense so that the other party could approach with good sense. If you act insanely, or if you act aggressively and angrily, they would act ten -fold more aggressively. However, approaching things with good sense would also draw the other side to good sense, to an reasonable logic.
When one reads the Qur'an, wisdom settles in him and he becomes completely reasonable and rational. The Qur'an is the book of reason. It is a light that causes wisdom to settle in the brain. Normally wisdom is not formed in one's brain, only intelligence. When the human brain comes into contact with the Qur'an, wisdom and reason settles in. Otherwise, wisdom cannot possibly be attained, only intelligence can.
God does not want us to have only medium wisdom while preaching Islam and disseminating His Message. He wants us to have superior wisdom. Islam would not be disseminated with a mediocre rationality and wisdom; that is because some anti-Islam fronts are in a struggle against Muslims in an ambitious alliance by advocating numerous other philosophies.
A Muslim would not respond to foolishness with foolishness, to instability with instability, to rage with rage, to anger with anger. One needs to be rational and always be aware of the fact that God is with him; that is because God is the One Who makes the others do those abnormal acts. Consequently a Muslim would be aware of the fact that no one is an independent being, so he would not worry.
Fiercely defending one's own desires is a mental illness. One should get a grip on himself in this situation and take refuge in God. He should ask himself, "How did I turn into such an abnormal person?" He should listen to what others have to say in a reasonable manner. A Muslim is open to 'al-amr bi-l-maʿrūf wa-n-nahy ʿani-l-munkar' (enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong). Therefore, he becomes wiser with ease.
How can something be considered right if the opposite of it does not exist? How will we be tried if satan and the lower-self do not exist? How can we recognize what is beautiful, what is right? It is impossible. It is impossible to achieve any higher love, any higher wisdom in this way. Then we would be no different than a child, we would not be able to develop.
