Mahdi (pbuh) is a man of love. He is not a stern, despotic, domineering person. He is a man living in his home. He is a man who functions as a supporting wall for the Islamic world constantly pointing out the importance of love. Mahdi (pbuh) will also not interfere with the government, he will not interfere in politics.
Mourning is only acceptable in the sense of respect, in the sense of showing courtesy, concentrating on the topic, being interested and concerned with it. It is not in the sense of being frantic with sorrow, crying, wallowing, freaking out, and feeling pain. Those would all be ascribing partners to God.
Muslims recognize the Mahdi (pbuh) with their foresight, perception and with the light of their faith. Just like people recognizing our Prophet (saas) with the light of their faith, just like his students recognizing Bediuzzaman Said Nursi with the light of their faith, Muslims will also recognize the Mahdi (pbuh) with the light of their faith.
Muslim intellectuals should respect each other; they should love and watch over each other. The Fethullah Gulen community, Naqshbandi community, Qadiriyya and all sorts of religious communities can be counted among them. They should most definitely come together and state that they love one another, that they are friends and brothers with one another. Anything contrary would be very dangerous.
Muslims should say; “Oh my Lord, give me an infinite love and an endless closeness.” There is no end to love. That is because this is a place of trial; it is a place of racing. God refers to those who are the foremost in the race. What does “being foremost in the race” mean? It means being foremost in piety, it means being resolute, it means striving in the path of God and attaining the love of God.
