Verses regarding the significance of striving, preaching and spreading Islam

THOSE BELIEVERS WHO STAY BEHIND–OTHER THAN THOSE FORCED TO BY NECESSITY–ARE NOT THE SAME AS THOSE WHO STRIVE IN THE WAY OF ALLAH, SACRIFICING THEIR WEALTH AND THEMSELVES. Allah has given those who strive with their wealth and themselves a higher rank than those who stay behind. Allah has promised the Best to both, but Allah has preferred those who strive over those who stay behind by an immense reward. (Surat an-Nisa, 95)

FIGHT [STRIVE] THEM UNTIL THERE IS NO MORE STRIFE AND THE RELIGION IS ALLAH'S ALONE. If they stop, Allah sees what they do. (Surat al-Anfal, 39)

CALL TO THE WAY OF YOUR LORD WITH WISDOM AND FAIR ADMONITION, AND ARGUE WITH THEM IN THE KINDEST WAY. Your Lord knows best who is misguided from His way. And He knows best who are guided. (Surat an-Nahl, 125)

Or did you suppose that you would be left without Allah knowing THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE STRIVED and who have not taken anyone as their intimate friends besides Allah and His Messenger and the believers? Allah is aware of what you do. (Surat at-Tawba, 16)

Do you make the giving of water to the pilgrims and looking after the Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) the same as BELIEVING IN ALLAH AND THE LAST DAY AND STRIVING IN THE WAY OF ALLAH? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. Allah does not guide wrongdoing people. (Surat at-Tawba, 19)

Say: ‘If your fathers or your sons or your brothers or your wives or your tribe, or any wealth you have acquired, or any business you fear may slump, or any house which pleases you, are DEARER TO YOU THAN ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER AND STRIVING IN HIS WAY, then wait until Allah brings about His command. Allah does not guide people who are deviators.’ (Surat at-Tawba, 24)

STRIVE FOR ALLAH WITH THE STRIVING DUE TO HIM. He has selected you and not placed any constraint upon you in the religion–the religion of your forefather Ibrahim. He named you Muslims before and also in this, so that the Messenger could be witness against you and you could be witnesses against all mankind. So perform prayer and give the alms and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector–the Best Protector, the Best Helper. (Surat al-Hajj, 78)

The men and women of the believers are friends of one another. THEY COMMAND WHAT IS RIGHT AND FORBID WHAT IS WRONG, and perform prayer and give the alms, and obey Allah and His Messenger. They are the people on whom Allah will have mercy. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat at-Tawba, 71)

WHOEVER STRIVES DOES IT ENTIRELY FOR HIMSELF. Allah is Rich Beyond Need of any being. (Surat al-Ankabut, 6)

AS FOR THOSE WHO STRIVE IN OUR WAY, WE WILL GUIDE THEM TO OUR PATHS. Truly Allah is with the good-doers. (Surat al-Ankabut, 69)

But to those who migrated after they WERE PERSECUTED AND THEN STRIVED AND REMAINED STEADFAST, to them your Lord is All-Compassionate, Most Merciful. (Surat an-Nahl, 110)

O Prophet! Strive AGAINST THE DISBELIEVERS AND HYPOCRITES and be harsh with them. Their refuge is Hell. What an evil destination! (Surat at-Tahrim, 9)

It is to believe in Allah and His Messenger and STRIVE IN THE WAY OF ALLAH WITH YOUR WEALTH AND YOUR SELVES. That is better for you if you only knew  (Surat as-Saff, 11)

(Prophets are) those who CONVEYED ALLAH’S MESSAGE and had fear of Him, fearing no one except Allah. Allah suffices as a Reckoner. (Surat al-Ahzab, 39)

Those who repent, those who worship, those who praise, those who fast, those who bow, those who prostrate, THOSE WHO COMMAND THE RIGHT, THOSE WHO FORBID THE WRONG, those who preserve the limits of Allah: give good news to the believers. (Surat at-Tawba, 112)

We have made it easy on your tongue so that YOU CAN GIVE GOOD NEWS TO THOSE WHO GUARD AGAINST EVIL AND WARN STUBBORNLY HOSTILE PEOPLE BY IT. (Surat al-Maryam, 97)

Do people find it so surprising that We should reveal to a man among them: ‘WARN MANKIND AND GIVE GOOD NEWS TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE ON A SURE FOOTING WITH THEIR LORD’? The disbelievers say, ‘This is downright magic!’ (Surah Yunus, 2)

WARN MANKIND OF THE DAY WHEN THE PUNISHMENT WILL REACH THEM. Those who did wrong will say, ‘Our Lord, reprieve us for a short time. We will respond to Your call and follow the Messengers.’ (Surah Ibrahim, 44)

This is a communication to be transmitted to mankind so that THEY MAY BE WARNED BY IT AND SO THAT THEY WILL KNOW THAT HE IS ONE GOD AND SO THAT PEOPLE OF INTELLIGENCE WILL PAY HEED. (Surah Ibrahim, 52)
